2008 Blk G37 Sport (Good or Bad Deal)

Hey guys,

This is my first official post on this forum although I have been lurking on here for sometime trying to figure out if I should take the Infiniti plunge. Here is my situation: I am ridding myself of my current Blue SRT-4 finally, I know. I found a 2008 G37 Sport locally with 13K miles and I believe what looks to be a premium package. It has no navigation. Car is in great shape minus a few scratches, but with it having only 13K miles I'm tempted to pull the trigger. Can anyone help me figure out if this is a good deal? Here is the dealers final offer on the vehicle. Need everyone's honest opinion if I should continue searching and what price I should expect for a low milage G37 Sport if this is not a solid deal. Thanks.

Dealer was asking $32,450
I got it lowered to $29,300

However, dealer pulled a fast one stating if I want CPO it's an additional $895? WTF??

Final price
$32,866 ( all taxes, fees included)

Should I take it ? Or could the deal be better? Thanks guys!

I think you're paying at least $3,000 too much.

Does it have Premium package? Look for the BOSE emblems on the rear speakers behind the back seats. I think the moonroof comes only Premium package also... What color is the G btw?

edit: sorry juz saw the title, it's black

Xlack, it's definitely a black premium package G37S because I saw Bose speakers on both the driver side and passenger side door. It also has a moon roof as well. What price should I aim out the door to feel like I got a great deal? Thanks for the help by the way.

Sports, Premium, No Navi..

I wouldn't pay a single cent more than $30,000 OTD (incl tax & fees). You should keep looking. But that's my opinion based from a couple of my friends who bought used black G37S fully loaded for way less than what you were offered. Their mileage were 30-40k.. yours is very low though. But no navi is still a downside. The car is a 6MT right?

My logic: 35k miles G37 Sport w/ Nav. + 2K cash = 13K miles G37 Sport w/ Premium

I still think 22k miles (less) is worth more than the Nav.

I bought a very similar used 08 Infiniti G37s just three weeks ago.

24,500 miles
Premium
Nav
Technology

had a few scratches, but nothing major - 29,995 was selling price...couldn't get them to budge much over some negotation, but got it to 28,995.

out the door price with taxes and fees was 30,400.

yours has about 10k less miles, but with nav/tech package and the cheaper overall price i got for mine, I think you could go another 1k lower. however, at the end of the day, go with your gut on whether or not this is YOUR ride. I had looked at about 8 different 08 G37's before I saw this one, and knew it was the exact one I wanted.

best wishes, and hope you pick infiniti! i love my new ride so far!

This is my logic too. However, the navigation isn't the deal breaker for me. The question really comes down to how much is 13K miles worth over a 30K G with nav. I personally will not pay 30K for a vehicle that has 30+ wear and tear on it. I just know how long it took me to get to 30K on my current vehicle and wouldn't be able to swallow 30 G's on that kind of pounding. That being said I do believe the dealer is roughly 2-3K off what I am looking for. Unfortunately, I don't think they will budge.

i bought mine 08 black g37s fully loaded for 34k out of the door. i hope that helps you out. 33k seems too much without navigation cuz navi is about 3k on our cars

I agree 100% with this. Since I don't have nav, I think getting the car for your price would be fair out the door. My gut is telling me to not do the deal, but every time I look at my SRT in the driveway, I want to physically run to the dealer and sign the papers. It's time to leave my high school boosting neon behind. I'll inform the dealer on my new stance tomorrow and will walk if he doesn't budge. sigh

Aria, what do you suggest I offer when I speak to my salesman tomorrow? I agree as well with what you are stating.

No, the Nav. is $1850 (MSRP) or $1600 (invoice).

Xlack, I appreciate the help bro. I do think the lower milage will explain the obvious increase in price, but without Nav I think I would be paying too much. Yes the car is 6-speed, I refuse to go with an auto on this car! I'll stand firm on 30K out the door and see what happens. If anything, I'll keep looking. I just want this damn car.

i mean they're probably not gonna lower it much. i guess i would take it for 32k if you really want it. my price budget started with 28 and ended at 34. it all depends on if there's any other better deals, or if you want it bad enough honestly. obviously try to get it lower and explain why without the navi and scratches and stuff. if you buy it though, MAKE SURE ITS PERFECT because you dont wanna pay more for something with a fault
