What is the money factor? You can check to see if it's a "good deal" with lease calcs.

you should be able to get the cost of the car much lower than it is. i picked up mine for 48 and change out the door (after takes and fees). i purchased mine though...

but there is nothing to say that you can't negotiate the price of the car THEN decide to lease based on the negotiated price. that's how the leases i've done in the past worked.

i think there is room to make it a better deal, although it's not a bad one. at 524.76 per month... you are 20465.64 paid in at the end of your lease. tie in your security deposits and you are at 25415.64 paid into the car.

should you decide to buy the car, your residual plus the total put into the car is 57122.39. thats how much your total spend would be if you purchased the car. (not to mention any intrest you would pay loaning out the residual value)

it's not a bad lease per-say, but i definitely think you can negotiate a more advantageous deal. i'm not into leasing so i'm a bit biased when it comes to how to purchase a car. if you can find a 0% intrest loan (i'm not sure if nissan financial is doing that now) i would recommend going with that.

So what are the restrictions on getting back the security deposit?

Where are you guys getting these lease quotes from? Blitzebill, I couldnt get my dealer to budge a dollar under invoice... where in ohio are you finding these deals?

I went to my dealership here in cincinnati and this is the quote they gave me on the 11 g37s

msrp 53,035

cap cost 49,093 (500 over invoice)

total cap 51,128.77

residual (60%) 31,821

rate .810

security deposits = 5,850

total drive off= 6,758.51

monthly payment with tax= 562.26 for 39mnths at 10k/yr

how are you getting under 500/month?
