Buying a 2011 G37 Coupe - Is this a good deal?

Hi all,

I'm new to these forums, but I have been lurking around to help with my research on this car. After playing the dealer hokey pokey all around TX, I finally found what I believe is a good deal:

New 2011 G37 Coupe (Blue Slate/Graphite) Journey with Premium Pkg
36.5k before taxes/fees. I also got them to throw in window tints and locks (big whoop but I'll take it).

Edmund's TMV shows me about 38.9k for a similarly equipped G, but I'm somehow skeptical about the TMV...

Any thoughts on this deal? Your feedback is greatly appreciated!

Cheers,
Mark

P.S. I went in with the intention of using my VPP...but it turned out that was just a basis for negotiation! Probably not how it's supposed to work but I can't complain

Before you get flamed, I suggest you list all the options on the G, as well as MSRP, then what the invoice is (see Edmunds.com). This is important information if you want an honest opinion on whether you got a good deal or not.

To be more explicit, here are the exact details:

- New 2011 G37 coupe Journey
- 7-speed automatic
- Blue slate Exterior / Graphite Interior
- Premium package only
- Window Tint
- Wheel Locks

MSRP $41,500
Edmund's TMV: $38,894
The best offer I could get so far: $36,500

I'm at the point where the dealers are telling me that they lose money if they go further. I'm here to ask you folks if you think that's bull and if it's worth it to continue the haggling process.

Feedback appreciated.

Thanks,
Mark

Here's the same car in SA New 2011 Infiniti G37 Coupe 2dr Journey RWD (Gray Car) San Antonio

36295. This one does not have tint or locks, so you're in the same ballpark pricewise.

Thats a good deal. My younger brother just placed his order for a 6MT last month...best they could do was the Infiniti website's MSRP.
