yup 2% increase for 12k and 3% for 10k. I think it's pretty sweet. These numbers are better than what I was getting on my base coupe back in May '08.

Not sure about the exact number, but it should be about 75%. It would still give you higher payments than 36-month lease. The longer the lease, the lower the payment.

RIDE, Do you think rates will get better for March, I just recently started looking at the IFS numbers and it seems like you have been watching them for much longer. Is the trend for them to get better for March?

Sorry for the late reply jason. been out with a cold plus i've been slammed with work lately.
For IFS, I like their lease rates during seasonal promotions like Spring, Summer and the Winter holidays. If I had to speculate, I would say March/April will see a drop in residual and a slight drop in money factor to keep payments at around the same ballpark.

Well if thats the case I think I will go ahead and and get my second G this month! My only concern is that last month my dealer told me that they had the sales tax credits and this month they said it's no longer being offered. I bought my current G back in March 08 and they had the sales tax promo then and I don't want to regret my purchase next month if they bring it back especially since here we pay taxes on the entire selling price

I made my own spreadsheet and started running numbers this morning. The only thing I'm having trouble with is converting the MF to a rate. The rate listed on the print out from a recent dealer visit was 1.72 for a 39 month term. The rate listed on Ray.J's example was 1.38. Also since I didn't have the values for 39 month I just used 36. I'm pretty close to the dealers number but I'm double dipping tax since he included it as a lump sum in the total cap (I put 1k down but tax + bank fee was ~1600).

If someone could help me understand mf to rate, I'd appreciate it.

Depreciation Fee = ( Net Cap Cost – Residual )÷Term
Finance Fee = ( Net Cap Cost + Residual ) × Money Factor
Monthly Finance Fee = Lease Charge ÷ Term
Tax = (Gross Payment x tax %) / term
Total Monthly Payment = Depreciation Fee + Finance Fee + tax
