Just got a call from one dealer I'm trying, They wanted $1400 for fees and then it was $593 a month for 39 months, He must think I'm on crack. Our sedan is $385 w/tax and we put down 0 Sign and Drive.. I tell him I'l pass he says why?? I said $593 is why, My wife's G37 sedan is $200 a month less a month".. He says well thats casue the Coupe's are more exspensive, Um not really( Wifes G was 42k) The Coupe I was looking at was 44,5K.

Just called me back just as I posted this, Now it's $429 with fees, casue my wife has one.. I hate Fn games man, Do people really take the $593 payment,., LOL

well at first he was probably screwing you with the price......but because your wife owns one...you get an extra $1,000 off.....also residuals are different between coupe and sedan that can reach about $100 a month difference

but he was def raping u with the original price

Coupes are cheaper to lease due to their higher residual value.

Is it supported by market resale data? I remember reading articles about car company inflating residual values before the financial crisis in order to move cars and suffered losses when cars were returned but could not be sold at anywhere close to their residual value.

I would think the coupe would be less per month just for the fact I aways see them discounting them. He definitly was trying to screw me the $593 was rediculous.. Funny thing is I wont budge over $385, I want to pay as much as my wife..

Wow, you can get a 42K G for $360 + tax = ~385/month with 0 sign and drive. That's a crazy deal.

Your telling me we both where like WHOA, She wasnt even going to get one. We went there at 3pm on A sunday( They close at 6) and was just looking, Asked about the Ad they had in the paper, For the sign and drive.. They did not have the car ofcourse but instead gave her a upgraded car for the same price,, LOL.. Sign all the papers and left at 530pm and they delivered the car to her on Tuesday.. ,

Even funnier is we where at the same name dealer, (But in Boston) and they gave her a price of $460 a month with $1500 down?? The one we bought from was just putside Boston.

Spoiled me cause now I want the same deal on a Coupe S.

I bet you can... Dealers are willing to go below invoice right now. Where are you?

I'm in Boston, trouble is all the coupes are AWD ( AUTO) there are only two that are manual and the S model, One near me but HATE that dealer, and the other is in NH.. We'll see.

as a follow up question, What if the dealer doesn't have the exact car you want? Will having to have them find another dealer with the car or having the car ordered make a big difference in making the deal?

Depends on the dealer, but typically is not a big deal. Also depends on how far the car is. Although if there is not the exact car in the countries inventory, ordering one specifically can take up to a year, so that rarely happens. If they can find one they will typically do there best to get it in. I'm in the same process, they found my car quite a bit away and said it'll cost $800 shipping.. waiting to see if they are covering that expense..
