Nationwide Dealer Inventory Search?

Nationwide Dealer Inventory Search?
I am looking for a very specific 2010 G37x, is there a place where I can do a nationwide (USA) dealer inventory new car search? I have some dealers saying they have located the car, but I would prefer to deal directly with the dealer that has it on the lot in order to get the best deal. It doesn't matter to me where the dealer is, I can have it shipped, which I've done before so it's no problem. Thanks!

ha I've tried to find a specific car for a month now, but the dealers I dealt with in my area kept giving me some BS excuse why they couldn't get it from the dealers where I've located it out of state.....they were obviously trying to force me into something on their lot that I didn't want. But one of the dealers had a color that was a 2nd choice and gave me a lease deal I could not refuse and went with that instead of traveling 3 hrs to get exactly what I wanted. It always comes down to the money lol. In this case, it was a $15 dollar a month difference and every dealer told me that my monthly payment was impossible to get...well...I got it and signed for it LOL.

How did you locate the car you wanted out of state? I think Edmunds will let you do an inventory search within a max 500 miles of a zip code, but I'd like to get nationwide results. I suppose I could do the work to figure out where all the dealerships are and do multiple 500 mile searches from different zipcodes, but that might be a real pain.

The infiniti dealership should be able to find the car for you out of state. if they are not wanting to do this for you, then find another salesman or another dealership. You can even call a few of the really friendly dealerships like Fields in chicago, or Sewell in Texas or Beshoff in CA. I called all 3 and they all did national searches for me. I did that just to make sure they were doing a national search. I did have to custom order my car though.

Thanks...I wasn't sure if it was reasonable to visit or call a dealership and ask them to do me this favor where they have nothing to gain, since I just want them to tell me who has the car. Were the dealers telling you exactly where they found the car, or just telling you they found it and could get it for you if you made a deal?
