Can I get invoice or lower?
Going today to get a new G37 and will be leasing. With 2011's being delivered in about 2 weeks would it be unreasonable to be able to get invoice price perhaps a tad lower?
I ask this b/c of three factors. First Infiniti has a $1000 manufacturer to dealer incentive that will expire Thursday. Two, the dealers 1% holdback. Three, the dealer has to move inventory.
A G37 Journey Sedan w/ Prem package (still can't decide whether I will get NAV) invoices for $34,089. When negotiating price I never give more than a 3% profit for the dealer b/c any well run dealerships should do very well at that level. In this case 3% profit on that invoice is $1023. In my opinion with the incentive and what may be left of the 1% holdback getting the G37 at invoice is attainable.
What are your thoughts?

yes its very much possible to get the car at invoice price. less than invoice? i dont know...depends on the car...if its a rare-er combo...they might not want to get rid of it that easy.
2011's will be delivered in more than 2 weeks....i dont know when exactly, but estimated Dec-Jan.

Thanks for the reply. I only said in about 2 weeks based off what the sales manager at Southwest Infiniti told me. That they were expecting the 2011's about 2nd week of October.

jim, i bought a 2010 journey sedan prem package from sewell infiniti for 1300 below invoice and about 400 above dealer cost. use truecar.com and youll get an idea of what you should pay, but i see that you are trying to lease, so not sure how much i can help
i shopped around at all houston locations and about a week after i bought my car, southwest infiniti started hitting me up saying they could go lower than what they initially offered me, so im sure you can get a good deal there

Hi Jim
When I bought my sedan back in June I got it below the invoice. I only got the Premium package. Hope that helps.
If you just sit there and haggle with them long enough, they'll give in. Good luck!

Just bought ours a week ago and got it at $1,882 under invoice. I'll admit I did my leg work to get it down that low. Worked on four dealerships and two said they couldn't match that low of a discount and the third didn't even bother replying. The problem with buying a 2010 now is the lack of option choices. I believe we were lucky enough to get the last white w/graphite in So Cal with the package we wanted. However, a couple of the dealers had a fairly good selection of 2010s still available on their lots.

Invoice isn't what you see. You are seeing the invoice on what it would cost to buy one car from the factory and not what it costs with 100s of cars being bought at once. You should look on edmunds.com for all the discounts and their "what others are paying" is pretty close.

So here is the lowdown on yesterday. Went with a G37 Journey Sedan w/Prem, Illuminated Kickplate, Trunk Mat/Net/First Aid Kit (MSRP 38020) and got it for invoice minus $1000 for the rebate. I also confirmed that the marketing support I had found was incorrect. Dealer options already added were Tint (gotta have IMO living in Houston) and Wheel Locks (MSRP for both 490), but these cannot be capitalized into the lease. There was also a "mandatory" service agreement for $500, but it wasn't so mandatory as I had it removed from the deal. Finally, I went with 15K miles. I prepaid all the taxes (1637), fees (125), and tags/title/registration (139). To get my cap down I used my trade equity of 2177 and additional cash of about 900. The RV was 55% and MF .00142 with a monthly payment of $379.
Overall, a good experience and good deal.

I was quoted $36,911 for the G37x wih NAV and premium package
do you think this is a good deal- looking online- I still think dealer can drop the price? Any insight?
