Buyer Beware on G's I have looked at... VINs included.
VIN: JNKCV64E68M103496
Went to look at this one over the weekend at Capitol Mitsubishi in San Jose, CA. Clean Carfax, 38k miles, dealer asking $28k. Front two fenders and right rear quarter panels have been repainted black. The quality of the paintwork was not that good -- sloppy masking work and obvious paint edges.

Buyer Beware - VIN JNKCV64E08M103493
Checked this car out at CarMax in Roseville, CA a few weeks back. $27k for the car, 34k miles, clean CarFax. The front bumper had been repainted poorly showing overspray under front wheel wells and under front lower bumper. Right rear quarter panel was repainted poorly near gas cap with orange peel effect. Interior leather was in good condition. Front grill was spray painted black, originally chrome, and does not appear professionally done. Hood weather seals not attached properly. Interior door handles had aftermarket vinyl faux carbon overlays applied, possibly to cover up scratches, but not sure. Steering wheel had significant wear.

G37S in the San Francisco Bay Area, 22k miles, $29k clean CarFax. Clean exterior and interior. No apparent paintwork. Front bumper has spiderweb pattern cracking in clearcoat around license plate frame, probably from low speed parallel parking bumps. Under the hood, the front engine cover has substantial aluminum corrosion as does the alternator. Lots of rusted bolts. Plastic under pan was not bolted in. Undercarriage has lots of rust, particularly on exhaust harware, fittings, and rear suspension components. Nav shows history of car travelling cross country -- New York, Georgia, Alabama, Texas. Brake rotors show substantial wear and grooving.
Hope this info helps someone.

Buyer Beware - VIN JNKCV64EX8M121659
G37S with 27k miles, clean CarFax, at Infiniti dealer in San Jose, CA. This car is in overall very good condition. But, the front bumper has obviously been repainted. Rear seat has small tear in leather. Front right fender has 3 inch scratch with touch up paint. The asking price of $34k seems high considering the bumper paintwork.
Hope this info helps anyone else considering this car.

G37S in San Francisco Bay Area with 15k miles. I didn't inspect this one in person, after having checked the CarFax: "04/25/2010 - California Damage Report, Accident reported involving left side impact."

08 G37S with all options in black, 27k miles, clean CarFax, for $31k. This one was at an Infiniti dealer in Marin. Left rear quarter panel was repainted. The quality of the paintwork was very good, and most would not notice it. Appears to have had a vertical dent to that rear panel, requiring the work. Drove fine and interior condition was excellent. Front and rear tires were different brands.
It surprising to find so many of these in this area with paintwork.
