Need Buying Advice on 2009 G37 Journey
Hello all!
First, I've been lurking for a while now and really impressed with the site and the members. I've learned a lot and would like to thank all you you for that!
Well, I've been driving a Saab into the ground and my car has finally died and need a new one and anything other than a g37 just wouldn't do. So I've test driven a g and the dealer made me an offer and wanted some pros to give advice on the price.
First off the g I'm looking at is here , it's a new 2009 G37 Journey with the premium package and it's a auto. After driving the car, the dealer offered it to me for $35,725; not including tax, title, and license. I checked Kelly Blue Book, and the invoice price is 34,724 according to their site. Under the current economic conditions, I'm assuming that I can talk them down lower. Do you guys think I'd be laughed at if I offered $32,000? My goal is to get them to about 1k under invoice. Any other tips on price are welcome.
Also, are there any options that you guys would recommend that isn't on this G? I'm don't want the sports package because I want the smaller wheels for bad weather. Also, I'm a tall guy and seats in the sports package are a little too tight on me.

I just purchased the same one you want to buy, the g37 auto journey with premium package but also I got splash guards and cargo net. i payed 33,889 but I think i could have negotiated even lower. I bet you could get it for around 32,500. Also i purchased mine in dallas,tx so i dont know if it makes a difference.
I’m going to the dealer today, I guess I’ll offer 31k and see what they counter with.

With the $2K cash to dealer that usually gets passed to you, many including myself got our cars for at leat $2K below invoice, and some as low as $2400 below invoice. You should be able to get it for about $32500+/-.
