about to buy my g37

hey everybody! well i was at the dealer today looking at an 08' G37 coupe. i just wanted feedback on the price.

the car has 15,000 miles on it and it is priced at 32,000. it has the premium package but thats all. i looked at the interior and exterior and all seems to be in good order. when i went to the dealer the car was up on the lift and they were putting new break pads in. do you think 32,000 is a good value or should i try to get a better deal?

Honestly, if it's a non-sport with 15,000 miles, then you can do better. I bought my fully loaded '08 G37S 6MT in August of '08 with 2,000 miles on it for $35K. You're looking at paying just $3K less for a non-sport with 13,000 more miles and no navigation. If it's a non-sport with just premium package, then you should be able to get them below $30K for sure. If it's actually a sport model, then $32K seems fair but on the high end.

An AT sport vs a MT sport, the AT sport costs more.

The MT is cheaper when you compare equally equipped cars; the MT will always include the sport package, which is why the BASE price is higher. The AT does not include a sport package; you have to add it.

ok, well im not trying to be a jerk but i dont really care about that right now. i found this forum because i am very intrested in buying a g37 and all i wanted to know is how much should i expect to pay for a base line coupe with at transmission, 15,000 miles and premium package. the dealer said 32,000 but i think i can do better than that, even though kelly blue book said 34,000. i currently have a 08' honda accord coupe ex-l i4, and i recently came into some money and i want to upgrade. i could get the accord coupe v6 but i think the g37 is a much nicer and more luxurious. so if anybody has any feedback about the price i would really appreciate it. and i did research the car, and the auto is more expensive. the base line does not come in mt, (i always thought it did come in mt) at least that is what i found, but if it did, it would be cheaper since it costs more to add an at transmission to the sports package, so yakusapop, why dont you do your research about your own car

well....I just posted my opinion on this reply "well also its an automatic which always adds on an extra $1,000 " because you are trying to buy a non spots model....just premium package......so anyway...I think you can get that car for $28000-29000!!

good luck...

I completely agree. I wouldn't pay one dollar over $29K with the current state of the economy and cars not moving. Unless you live in SoCal, Fla, or the greater NYC area, in which case you should expect to pay about $30K. I'm kind of shocked the KBB is $34K on the base model without navigation; that seems high to me.

i was at the dealer today, did not go over too well. i was talking and negotiating price for almost an hour, the lowest they would go is 31,000. hy the way i live in southern westchester county, not even ten minutes from the bronx. i told them i would pay 29,000. they would only lower it from 32 to 31. their reasons were wa sthat it is black, and it is a 2008 model, which are hard to come by used. i did some more research and found a g37 sport with 9,000 miles for 32,995. im going to check that one out soon next week. anybody have any comments on these prices? i tried and tried pulling everything out of my sleves, but the manager would not budge.
