help for an 09 G37 2dr lease... dealer said $689/month
Ok so i guess my dealer thinks I am an idiot because he gave me a $689/month quote on my lease for a vibrant red g37 the packages are:
PREM
NAV
SPORTS
TECH
I think the price was 45,900
SO...
What should I offer them?
and what are the lease monthly payments people are paying for similar cars?
I could get a 335i convertible lease for less than that...
I have to lease for other reasons... but anyways
I am new to this community if someone could help me out on what to tell the dealer or what to show the dealer I would really appreciate it...
I need to get a car before this weekend so I am kinda in a rush...
Thanks again..

wow! I bought my car new a year ago and I put down 0! and I paying about $50.00 less a month that that lease quote. Granted My car listed for a few thousand less, but still that is way high. If i had to guess you should be in the neighborhood of 2000.00 down and 550.00 or so a month. Correct me if I am wrong.

Its kind of funny, I went into the dealership with my cousin to help him lease a G. The guy said he didn't want to bs me and go back and fourth with the pricing and just give me his best offer right away. He came back to us with 2000.00 down, 699.00 plus tax for 39 months with 10,000 miles. After going back and fourth for over an hour and a half we got it down to 1500 down 550.00 a month tax in 12,000 miles for 39 months. We were so insulted that it took us over an hour and a half to get the fair price , we just walked. But my point is, you have to work at if, but eventially you can get the price you want.

Dealers know when you don't know (That was fun to type). If they get the sense that you probably don't have a good idea of how much things should cost, they're going to take advantage of it. Do the research first, and be prepared to put the dealer in their place when they try to BS you like that. Don't forget to research invoice pricing.
Edit: Oh, and don't let them know you need a car this week... you might even be better off renting a vehicle while you shop around, if you need a car that bad.

When it comes to leases, just pay the inception fees and thats' it. That usually runs about $1500. Should NEVER put any cap reduction because if the car gets stolen or totalled, you won't be getting any of that back. In order to know how good your deal is, you need to provide more numbers. MSRP, sale price, inception fees, residual value and money factor used to calculate your payments.

Keep dealing, putting money down on a lease is a waste. If you put money down--finance!!!

I don't want to rain on anyone's parade here...but if you are paying upwards of $550 bucks a month you might want to consider other options...check the following comment from Dr J on my blog...
"Got a Clk 550 white with the P2 package for a capitalized cost (price of vehicle, gas guzzler tax, doc fee plus the MB bank fee) of $49,809 on a car with a MSRP of $62,515 (includes $1000 gas guzzler tax). With 0 down, the total was $556 plus tax for 4 years and 12k a year mileage."

I know we are all G37 fans here...but for around the same money a V8 Benz CLK550 sounds rather tempting.
