Ending lease early /swapping

Hi, I currently have a 2008 5AT G37s. I have a 39 month lease and I am only about 6 months into it. I have 4,900 miles on it right now. I really want to swap it for an 6MT. Does anyone know the process involved with ending a lease early or swapping? Would my dealer be able to trade me?

Thanks

doesnt 5AT mean that you HAVE an automatic?

There will be fees when you end your lease, and you will be under when it comes to how much you have paid so far compared to what you will pay overall. Basically they will try to screw you over knowing you really want to end your lease. For a reason so small as a transmission, you have to ask yourself if its worth the higher payments a month.

If you have a 5AT (Auto Transmission), why are you wanting an other automatic?? or is it that you are wanting a 7AT you need to clarify your post.

definitely not worth it, just use your paddle shifters instead of paying who knows how much more a month for stick

Yeah Keng is kinda right, It will cost ya.Since you are in a lease but only 6 months in, the early termination option isn't available (12months of payments to do that), it leaves you with the payoff option. You can go to the dealership and they may help you if you are not too upside down on your lease.

or you can go to swap a lease and try to let someone get approved and take over your lease...... (just a thought)

6 months in is too early to switch vehicles and not get screwed. When I had a Red '05 G35 AT, I waited almost 2 yrs to switch into a Pearl White '07 G35 6MT. Luckily I was able to leave the dealership with no money down and the same payment. I originally had a 39 month lease.

just be glad you arent driving a 1978 Pinto, you will take a serious bath on the car unless you find someone else who is in a lease with a 6MT who desperately wants a 5AT. Good luck, you are going to need it!

Unless you go through a place like Swap-a-Lease, you would have to buy out your lease for whatever the current value is. Not worth it IMO.

You send your payments to Infiniti Financial Services? If so they don't associate with companies like swap a lease.Though I have heard people going there still and I never know of the outcome.

There is the Transfer of Lease with IFS but isn't the best because your name remains on the lease until its satisfied.
