TONS of 08 G37's in SoCal, how far under invoice can I go?
I've been researching the G37 a lot lately and I've decided it's gonna be the car I buy in the next couple weeks (coming from a WRX). I read all the buying advice in this forum but I wanted to get some feedback from you guys on just how far you think I can push on the price of a new 08 G37?
In SoCal there are 67 (yes) NEW 08 G37's within 30 miles of me, 17 being the S model I want. It seems people on here were getting these back in late 08 for about $1,000 under invoice, but with the economy tanking even more since then, plus the fact LA is flooded with surplus G37's, how far under invoice is a realistic price? With the 0.9% financing available it makes it the same/cheaper than picking up a used one, so why not?!m I'm thinking maybe $1,500 - $2,000 under, or do you think b/c there are so many I can go lower?
Sub question: Vibrant Red, Blus Slate, or Platinum Graphite?
Thanks in advance

there is currently a $500 loyalty discount and $2000 manufacture to dealer incentive to push the 08 out, but you can't combine the $2,000 with .9% APR. I've been talking to a few dealers and maybe it's because I can't negotiate but they seem to not go $1k under invoice. But hopefully you have better luck. When you do settle on a deal, please post it, I'm looking for a G37 in SoCal also.

apologize for the ambiguity. I mean that the most they are discounting is $1k under invoice and you'd have to pay cash. I take it they are willing to apply 1/2 of the $2k manufacture to dealer incentive towards the G coupe. Where are you looking to buy it at? I was cerritos this weekend and they only have 8 left there. I think tustin has like 12

I have a bank buying service that discounts 1500 below invoice but the dealers I've spoken to in LA (Tustin, Santa Monica, and South Bay) won't do it along with the 0.9% financing.
Also, I was looking for an automatic 5AT with Sport, Premium and Navigation. That combo with NAV I couldn't find in LA. Those dealers would've had to get it from Washington state.

For me, it was $2K below invoice and no money down with 0.9% for 72.
I KNOW that fields infiniti (not the place I bought mine) was discounting $5K (yes, $5K) below invoice - but this was for outright sale - cash or your own financing institution (private - i.e. personal bank loan).
$5K...
It's not impossible.

I think the fact they didn't have what you wanted on the lot affects the final price, if they have to get it from somewhere else and trade stock I'm sure it's not as appealing. There are about 8-10 G's I've found that I would be happy with, from 4 different dealers, so I'm hoping that gives me more leverage...

Let's not forget Hussain at Fairfield (CA) Infiniti.
Back in September he sold me an MT for $1k under invoice with 0.9% (60 month) financing. And he got the car from another dealer as he did not have a new MT on his lot.
