Sales price + fees
I'm curious what goes into the final out-the-door price on top of the sales price. I live in Los Angeles.
Is the following correct?
Sales price = base + options + destination charge
Final cost = sales price + taxes + registration
What's missing from the final cost?

That's a very good question.
The more knowledge you have when making a purchase then the
chances of getting a hassle free deal will be in your favor.
Los Angeles County Price Breakdown.
1.) Base + Options + Accessories + Destination Charge
2.) Document Prep Fee (estimate $55)
3.) Sale Tax (L.A. County is 8.25 %)
4.) Registration/Title Fee
5.) California Tire Fee (estimate $10)
6.)Smog Abatement Fee (estimate $15)
If the dealership has more than this listed on the contract then raise a red flag and call a time out.
Do not be affraid to stand up and question anything.
Dealerships are notorious for adding crap onto a contract.
Good Luck.
