G37 Lease

I must be doing something wrong. I have been looking for a G37 Sport with premium. I have to talked to five dealers in Texas and none of them are coming close to what some of you are saying you are paying. The best I price I have negotiated so far on a car with an MSRP of $41,350 is $38,500. The dealers will not budge any lower and some won't even go that low. The payments on a 36 month lease with $1000 down and the $500 loyalty cash come out to about $540. How are some of you paying the prices that you are paying?

Using strategy. FYI - go to www.edmunds.com, find out what the invoice is. Keep in mind, our qualifications are probably different than yours. There are different tiers in Leasing, so (atleast my price) was assuming a 700+ credit score.

When you price your G exactly how the vehicle is on the lot, you now have more buying power. You have more leeway, and your able to know exactly how much you can negotiate.

For a 2008, you shouldnt pay a penny over invoice - the 2009's are shortly around the corner.

Ok so this is the exact situation I was in except I had no problem getting invoice at 3 different dealers. I too got the g37s with premium (6mt) however was adament that I didn't want any extra thing like mats or kick plates or whatever, so that being said the msrp of a g37s with premium should be just about $40,0xx, with an invoice price of $37,200ish. Go to the dealer and tell them straight up that unless you get invoice (whatever it may be) that you're not doing the deal. When you say $1000 down is that including fees or just cap cost? Because I put $1000 toward cap cost, plus another $1500 in fees giving me a otd price of $2500 with monthly payment at about $455 (deal from 2 dealerships, ended up with a slightly different deal due to negative equity on trade in).

Well, my credit puts me in the top tier for leasing. But if I contact a dealer and say that I will not pay a penny over invoice, I will end up with no G. I have already contacted 5 dealers and none will sell a car for invoice. I know what invoice is on the car, I don't have the exact figures in front of me, but if I remember correctly the invoice on a car with an MSRP of $41,350 is around $37,700 (?). That makes the best deal I have gotten so far about $800 over invoice.

that's strange because most people have been seeing deals around $500 UNDER invoice on '08s, esp with 09's around the corner
