I'm guessing less than a year? Unless you severely overpaid for your car...

I got a pretty good finance offer through Capital One Auto; 4.49% G37S 6MT $37,300 out the door preowned w/ $10k down. I'm making $1,000 payments so it'll be paid off in a yr 1/2 and putting down another 10k at the end of the year. If I chose to go through my whole 72 month loan it would be $437 a month.

Yeah leasing is only a smart idea if you actually know what you're doing because sales people will take advantage of you if you're younger or ignorant when it comes to this option. I walked out on someone because they tried to give me the whole "what do you want your payments to be when you lease the car." I don't play that stupid stuff. They have a lot more of a chance selling the car at sticker leasing then they do actually purchasing.

... I ended up buying cheaper and easier option IMO.

Ahh that left me with chest pains, might as well have gotten a Lexus IS-F with that kind of cash. How come so high?

It is high because "I AM CANADIAN". I paid sticker for the car got it in November there was all kinds of demand so no deals from the dealer. 60K for the car after taxes. I did not get the IS-F because even my wife thinks it looks like a girls car. Fast yes sexy no. I should have gone state side to buy but did not have the time. I had the money and wanted the car so i paid for it. I do regret the 16000 down should have pu tit in a high interest savings account and off sett he higher payments with that. Live and learn i guess.

Agreed. I was looking into leasing but figured if I just put a little money down I could own the car for about $100 more a month. Theres a lot of different factors that go into the price of a lease (MF/Resid) so if you just go in negotiating on a monthly payment, you'll definitely get screwed.
