Can I Powder Coat The Wheels Black Without Having A Problem When The Lease Is Up
I just leased an Ivory Pearl G37 S which I will be taking delivery of July 31. I am very excited and was considering buying wheels for the car. However, since the car is leased and I spent alot of money on wheels for my previous car, I am considering simply powder coating the 19 inch wheels that come with the sport package. I was told by the sales manager at the Infiniti dealer that this would not affect me and that it would even raise the value of the car when the lease term is over. So my question is... is he telling the truth, unsure or just telling me what I want to hear? CAN I POWDER COAT THE WHEELS BLACK WITHOUT HAVING A PROBLEM WHEN THE LEASE IS UP or will doing this give me a huge problem and make me have to buy new stock wheels?
...just have him put it in writing...if he's legit, he won't mind; if he does mind - a ton of verbal assurances from him/us won't do you a bit of good. Good luck!
All the dealers I've talked to in Los Angeles said they don't care if you powder coat wheels or your grill. The car is owned by the bank not the dealer...
