I don't understand. I mentioned last week my ability to get a close-to-fully loaded G37 for a grand below invoice - and a few commented that it was good but not great.... another dude mentioned he got his at like $1500 below. Why all of a sudden is 300 over invoice a "good deal"?

This isnt a regional thing. The MSRP/Invoice for a loaded G is going to be $45K/$41K no matter where you are in the country. So what gives?

That's what I was thinking. The car has sat on the lot for almost a year now so obviously the value has gone down on it. Last night I made a quick call to a dealer and asked "so will you sell below invoice" and he responded with "depends how bad my manager wants to move it."

I'm thinking $1000-1500 below invoice is what I'm going to be aiming for.

MadLove - Do you have specific #'s you were quoted?

Main reasons was I wanted to put a big down payment of like 12k. But just moved and bought you know..guys stuff..laptop,tv,sound system,ps3,frig,couch which basically used my 12k + more. Another reason was it was 2nd gen and I'm not too familiar with G coupes, I've heard about them but I kind of ran into it by accident and just fell in love with it. So def. when 09 comes out I'll get it.

Oh by the way, I might have gotten such a good deal so early because it was near winter time + I live in Boston...RWD = not so hot around here.

Well, the end of this month is when I have to make a big decision. Grab a 6MT 08 for probably $1500 below dealer-stated invoice (with 2.9% financing) or order an 09 7AT for probably a few hundred over invoice (or who knows how low I can get them - the economy plus skyrocketing gas prices have to be impacting "normal" sales figures) with probably closer to 6 % financing.

I saw 2 G37s today (PG then OB)... and I don't know if I will be able to wait until October to be driving one of my own.

I sort of don't want the '09 to be announced with greatly-improved option features.

Already passed on one deal for $1000 below.... not because it wasn't enough off, but because I am having trouble pulling the trigger before the official 09 announcement is made. Of course, my color/option preferences will be harder to match the longer I wait it out.

Is that your out the door price (taxes/tags)???

I just paid $43,600 - that included MD 6% tax, tags, fees, ect... I also get lifetime oil changes, tire balance and hand car washes for as long as I own it.
