G37 Demo Price 3,000 - need advice

Yeah or they showed him an inflated invoice price. I bring my laptop into every negotiation, type out all talk of numbers in excel, double and triple check every thing.
Oh by the way guys, edmunds is wrong about the holdback. Infiniti dealers make 1.5% off MRSP. Not the 1% off mrsp and 2% off invoice.

I am well aware of the difference between sticker & invoice. I got the invoice info from Edmunds.com before making my offer, & their (the dealer's) invoice #s matched. $500 below invoice, not $1 in any other fees (I stipulated no other fees in my offer).

HighMike,
Agreed - 3K miles is a lot of miles. If you purchased the car new and drove it for several months (putting on 3K miles) and went back to trade it in...just imagine how much (little) they would give you (proabably 20 - 23% off MSRP). This is where I would begin the negotiations.
Some would consider this a used car. I would step up and pay a few extra dollars for a brand new car. Many owners on this forum are paying invoice for their G37's; with less than 10 miles. Just my $0.02 worth.
Before I leased my G37S; I went to a competitive manufacturer and looked at a model A (names have been changed). I called and made an appointment to come down and look at one of three. The first one they showed me had over 150 miles. I noticed what looked like rubbing compound residue on the door and window seams (I thought I saw buffer swirl marks in the paint). My spider sense was tingling big time...I moved on and never looked back. My point - be an informed buyer and good luck.

I am just completely disappointed at how much my 5 month old 2008 G37S with 2,364 miles has been depreciated just on 5 month (Pay $45,300). My car has all the upgrade including 4 wheel steer , laser cruise control, Navigation, oem spoiler, etc....
Today I went to trade my car for a new M3 at my local BMW dealer. After test drive the M3 and start negotiating the price of the car the dealer offer me only $33,000 for a perfect fully loaded G37S. What happen to the value of my G37S????

I rest my case...

Word.
Most dealers operate as if the right to buy low and/or sell high is theirs and theirs alone. As mentioned by others, I too would like to see the day when car manufacturers sell their products direct, without a middle man sticking it to consumers on every front.

The whole world revolves around buy low sell high...
Every dealer wants to pay far less than what a customer's trade is worth, and, if they can get away with it, will steer uninformed buyers towards paying "MSRP", 60/72-month terms at high in-house rates, loan origination fees, extended warranties, and/or all the other profit centers people will often buy because they're mentally/spiritually exhausted after spending 4 hours at the dealership getting rodeo'd by 3-4 different personnel - for a new vehicle.
One look at the policies that the snakes with (D)s and (R)s next to their names are pushing on the people and it's obvious they want to go communist...
