I don't think the 08 had that many/if any problem that was really major to make me want to wait for the 09 model. The common issues that people are experiencing seem to be relatively straight forward. So, I'd wait for the 09 to be released then buy the 08 to save some money (given that you want a 6mt, not possibly a 7at).

It's not silly at all to get a 2008 now. The 2009 isn't promising to be any different. So what will you gain by waiting? That it'll say '09 on the sticker instead of '08?

No reason to wait unless you really want the possibility of having 7AT. But if you want the 6MT, go for it now! You'll probably save more money.......which means more $$$ for mods!!!

Or save it in the bank...

I agree though, for 6MT, I'd go the 08 route. '10 on the other hand...
