I called several dealerships today looking for a particular g37s and several of them wanted me to come in and try to pick up g37s today because it's end of the month. A couple of them advised that month end deals are usually the best. I'm not sure if that's true or that they just wanted me in their dealership to try to close a deal. And if it is true, would you really be able to save that much more because of month end.

Dave @ Cerritos or Mike @ Riverside??? Maybe you guys can chime in on this...

If a dealership meets a certain quota they can receive manufacturing bonus incentive. If you're lucky, a dealer may even lose money on your deal just to make the quota for the month to access their incentive. That decision is usually made by the GM.

Nice...that makes sense. What are the chances? It probably doesn't happen frequently.

Im sure its slim. But at the very least, individual salesmen have quotas so they will be more likely to give you invoice or cough up some of the hold back.

Oddly enough, I picked mine up at the beginning of the month for about $500 under invoice. I'm pretty sure if you should be able to get this or better at certain dealers.

Edmunds invoice or REAL invoice?

Edmunds Invoice...which matched what the dealer showed. Whether that's real or not....meh. Bottom line, the price they gave was better than I found at 8 dealers across 2 states at the time.

I think people should check as many dealers as they have time for, and just take the best deal you can get...this will vary significantly I believe based on location.

I actually checked the Phoenix area as well, but didn't get as good a deal as in California. I got a similar vehicle but with spoiler, splash guards, mat/net for about the same price as you are being quoted.

I thought Edmunds invoice was the REAL invoice? So dealerships actually get them lower than what is states as invoice price at Edmunds.com.?

I paid $500 over invoice for mine last week, which I thought was fair. Consumer reports shows that the dealer gets a $400 or so "holdback" from Infiniti, so the invoice is not what the dealer actually pays for the car.

G37 Journey Base - 32,184
G37 6MT Base - 32,688
(not including 715 destination)
Tech Pkg - 991
Prem Pkg - 2,757
Sport Pkg - 1,595
Navig Pkg - 1,896
4WAS - 1,121

Im not going to do the minor stuff.

Just like how edmunds says infiniti gets only a 1% hold back but the reality is Infiniti gives
1% of Base MSRP for holdback + 2% of Base Invoice for floor plan.

Edmunds also grossly over-estimated BMW 335 invoice pricing. Edmunds is a terrible source for true invoice pricing. Carsdirect was closer...Dealers LOVE edmunds.

Dude...costco members get it for 500 over. LoL thats not a "good price" thats the typical/average price people pay. At invoice should be expected and below invoice (taking some of the dealer holdback) is "impressive"

Uh, the options prices you quote are exactly what's listed as the invoice price on edmunds....

You sure you aren't looking at the MSRP column on edmunds?

Typo or you just didn't check edmunds recently? The only price that is different is the base price for the journey...off by $300, but this disappears (and then some for my area; -$500) in the regional price adjustment when you price it out in certain areas of the country on edmunds.

Actually I just checked carsdirect.com and their invoice is actually exactly the same as the edmunds.com invoice for the options....make sure to do some research before posting eh?

PS. They have the destination charge higher than edmunds for my area.

Why don't people post what they paid and not XXX over/under invoice. Seems to make sense to me...

Me: 5AT Sport, premium package, trunk mats, spoiler - $37523 (before taxes, tags, etc)
