It sounds like you're not ready to give up on them. When you are ready, tell them to credit the $500 back to your credit card. End of story. If they don't, dispute it and explain your situation in the dispute to your credit card company. You have something like six months to dispute a credit card charge. They'll definitely reverse it and then you'll find another dealer / another G. It's that easy.

That $500 should be refundable for any reason so just tell them that you found the car at another dealer. I did the same thing at Mercedes when the GL450 first came out. Ended up waiting 2 weeks for the build order and never received it. Went to Ray Catena and had one just being unloaded so got that and got my other $500 refunded..
