Can the LEASE experts make sense of this for me?
#16
I think your MF is .001 or 2.4%
38750 + 30438=69188 x 24 = 1660512
1727/1660512=.001
The rent fee is the total amount that you'll spend during the course of your lease on finance charges.
But 69188 x .001=69.19 a month
1727 is 71.96 a month
Do the MSDs affect your net cap cost?
Also ask for a breakdown of your 1500 inception fees. I think they are inflated $100-200ish.

G35, went back to the dealer, this is what we came up with...
Here's the rundown with 15k/yr lease...
Option 1:Out the door with 1st pment, bank fee tax and tags=$1235.60
Payments of $525 (Tax included) for 38 mths.
Option 2: MSD's of $2750 + $1201 for tax, tags and the rest
Payments of $491.34 (tax inclusive) for 38 mths.
Vehicle price is $37,902.46 (includes doc fees of 250 and acquisition fee of 595). Residual is 24,293.
Comments? Good? Bad? Crazy?

Thats for a 6MT, Nav, Premium, Splash Guards, Mats blah blah blah...My sell price is $38950 and invoice is $38600 so I'm $350 over invoice...Seems like your payment with nothing in MSD's is a bit higher then mine...Not sure why...Maybe cause your doing 38 months? I have no idea...Sounds good either way...So long as its the best offer you got, I'd get moving on the deal..
In your case putting the MSD's saves you $1300 over the length of the lease in monthly payments...So if you dont NEED that security deposit money at the moment, then I'd probably put that down and go that route...

Yeah, I think I'm going to tell him that I'll do it once he can get my pment down to $500 with nothing down. The great thing is, I'm in no rush. They want to sell. I can keep rolling in my focus indefinitely.
Inf of Dayton is willing to sell at invoice. Inf of Columbus is doing $150 over invoice. I'm thinking they can go lower.

The key is most certainly being patient. The first day I visited they offered me zero down at 553 per month. Now since they realize I own my 04 g35 coupe and I'm in no eush they have moved down as far as 500 per month with nothing down.
In the end ill put less then the 4500 in msds that they orig worked out for me, but more then nothing down. I think 2500 in msds is a good place for me as it saves me about 1700 over the length of term.

Dude, you're getting a pretty good deal here. I'm actually surprised that Infiniti is offering this kind of deal on this car. I also see they're offering 1.9% APRs on financing. Are they having a tough time moving these cars? Anyway ...
Working backward from your numbers, looks like:
- your residual is around 71% (that is an amazing percentage)
- your MF is around .00195, which looks like it was reduced by what appears to be a maxed out MSD (which I think is a 9 multiple, with each multiple reducing your MF by .0001), bringing your final MF down to around .00105.
The only thing I would strongly recommend, is further negotiating your cap cost down to $38k, or $38,5k range. Doing so will close the gap from your residual and reduce your depreciation, which in turn reduces your interest (aka rent fees, lease fees, etc), which in turn reduces your final cost. Then I think you'll have a killer deal, but as it is, this is a pretty good deal.
Btw, I'm new to leases myself. I just spent a couple of hours online a few days ago and taught myself the ins and outs of it. I believe I now know about 90%+ of what there is to know about leasing cars. There are a lot of great resources online (Edmunds, Lease Guide, etc) and I encourage you to take some time out of your weekend and teach yourself. I personally wouldn't be able to stand not knowing EXACTLY how every cent of my hard earned money was being appropriated.
