You will still pay taxes to your resident state in the end anyway. It doesn't really mean any real savings to you unless your local dealer isn't willing to sell you the vehicle at any discount vs. another dealer out of state that is.

Yup... You'll end up paying sales tax for your county when you bring it back to ATL and try to register it. Thus, it would be less of a hassle to just purchase in ATL.

Don't mess with registration and the government. Keep in mind, your auto insurance is also rated with where you live as well and if you fraud the government and/or the insurance company, you could get hit with penalties in addition to not getting your claim processed should something happen. It just isn't worth it in the end for potentially saving a few hundred bucks.
