2008 G37 Trade Value
#20
You're going to trade-in your G37 for another one in a different color?? For that $10,000 you could have it painted twice over and super charged it! Some of you guys are nutss!! New car for a different color, new rim for a minor scratch LOL

So you're "selling" the car, yet the thread is asking about trade in value? and you're getting rid of the car (selling/trade) because you don't have time to drive it. Yet, now you're saying that you really want to trade in the car for another car, but what? all of a sudden with another car you'll have more time to drive that one instead?
BS reasons aside, you get bored of cars easily and going through 3-4 cars a year you should have plenty experience with getting screwed on resale. None of what the dealership is telling you should be surprising at all. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume with what you've said and your user tag that you're still quite young. Other reason being that if you were older you would have realized (hopefully) a long time ago that with those types of car buying habits you are losing insane amounts of money. Other big glaring red light here is if you do like to switch up cars this often, why in the hell are you buying cars and not leasing them? you wouldn't be in this situation in the first place and you would save yourself a whole bunch of money and hassle.

He's not saying that all 21 year olds are idiots. Lord knows there are idiots of all ages. He's pointing out what I've mentioned in my post as well, which should be readily apparant to everyone. With car buying habits like that, if he were older it would be alot easier to see the massive loss of money over time than when you are younger with less car buying and financial history.

With all the depreciation you must go through, and the limited amount of time you have for driving, you should save money and rent cars when you need them...
