How much LESS than sticker did you pay?

Just curious on what's the market around the country, so please post city/state, just state, or whatever you want. It's a new model, but the economy is in recession (or heading there). Just wondering if demand is winning right now.
Also wonder how many coupes Nissan plans to produce in 2008, and how many of those 6MT. Thank you for your help folks.

Isn't invoice 3500 - 3750 below MSRP? How did you do 500 over and still have 4k off sticker?

Thanks a lot for your help gang.
I'm surprised to read $500 over invoice on a new model, but it seems to go with the hard times. Definitely good news for us.
And with a fully loaded example I think there's over $4K in profit (excluding incentives and holdback).
I'd definitely get the 6MT with premiium and spoiler, but am debating the mud guards (rear ones look tacky glued like a fin, plus they're minuscule) and lighted sill plate. What's there as the 'regular' sill plate? Thanks again.

I just got one at Invoice. took a little dealing, but now I got a sweet Black/stone. Just have to find a spoiler kit now.

Journey, Prem, Nav, Sport, splash guards, and trunk do dads.

Sweet car!

I went to two stealerships 2 days ago expecting to get 0-300 aboce invoice from what i have read, neither would budge at 750 above invoice. I took the bait and got it because the 1st dealer wanted 1400 up fronts and would not waive 595 bank fee. But second dealer only want 1000 up fronts and was much more polite and also included free ipod touch. So i was happy with the deal (car comes on tuesday)

I think there are a few variables that make this hard to answer. Assuming a 6mt (a little harder to find, depending on where you live), I believe that $500 over invoice is a fair and realistic price. Several dealerships will not go to this price point but several will. Also, are you considering the doc fee as part of the "over invoice" price? Again, depending on the model you ar looking for, and the convenience of the store location, a total of 8 or 900 over invoice is not out of line. There is good sport to be had in looking for your best deal possible. At some point, squeaking out another 100 bucks of savings might not be worth it. Also, watch out for stuff you don't want or need. A really low price gets higher when you put dealer add ons into the pot. Finally, it might be worth a few hundred more if you can get mfg incentives to your liking. The finance rate through the end of the month is excellent, and will result in several thousand in savings over the life of the ownership. Under these circumstances, IMHO and depending on what you want, $500 over invoice and a reasonable doc fee is not out of line. Last thought -- make sure your "invoice" number includes all the features on the specific model you are considering. It is easy for buyers and sellers to be talking past one another. They think they are talking about the same thing and they are not. A good negotiating question is "help me understand your numbers." If they won't respond candidly to this question, move on to the next dealer.

It might be easier to get a better deal on an auto transmission.
