if you are not getting a low price
this thread is really for the people who say "the dealership is offering $xx,xxx for the car, and i want lower"
there is not a single dealership that will just offer you an invoice price. please understand that a car dealership, just like every other business in the world has a requirement to make profit. Let alone the legal obligation to the shareholders to increase profitability as much as possible.
the key here is negotiation. if i offer you the car for 43000, do you just cry about it and whine that the dealer does not offer invoice? or have you done your homework and gone to the dealer with an educated offer of a near invoice price, or a price you have wanted to pay? i would find it hard to believe that any dealership, especially prior to the new year would turn away any realistic offer.
so if you are not getting the OFFER you want.. well - you shouldnt. it is your job as the consumer to counter-offer for the price you want to pay.
the dealer has a price they want to sell for, you have a price you want to pay, and it is unfair and unrealistic to expect the dealer to just offer you what you want to pay. you need to ask for it.

IMO, if you are really serious about getting the car, you have to let the dealership know. If you are not getting the price you want, let the dealership know that you are ready to pay $xx,xxx for the car. Tell them that if they can match that or even come to a reasonable offer, you are ready to start with the paperwork ASAP, and ready to commit 100%.
If the dealership really wants your business, they should come down.
