Good Deal on Lease?
No, this is not a good deal.
If you can afford to wait until the last Friday at the end of February, 2008, that's probably going to be the best time to get a really good deal; believe February is the end of Nissan/Infiniti Fiscal Year -- chances are the Money Factors will then be lots lower than the current one(s).
Yeah, I know it's wintertime, but ....

I did the math....I had to guess at the residual, as I didn't see one listed specifically for 39months, but it's pretty easy to get close with the 36 and 48month residual.
I came up with $499.97 (using infiniti's listed money factor for the g37, .00285).
So to get to an even $499.00 infiniti is either:
1. barely coming down on the money factor
or
2. discounting about $400 off msrp
as a few have said, not a great deal. just trying to get you in the door

I went in for the journey, prem/nav package. And they wanted me to take 6,000 out of pocket to get the price down to 545 a month. At 5,000 it was 575. This was for a 39 month leaes at 12k miles a yr. Thats just ridiculous. Any input on what I should say to them when I go back to get things done in the next week or 2?

One thing I would find out is what the money factor is. My bet is that its high this time of year

Possibly, but you have to figure the demand for a rear wheel drive sports coupe is going to go down in the new york winters..right? Im sure they are using .00285, isnt that the Infiniti standard for the g37 right now?

I am negotiating as we speak, and have found out the following for my marketplace. For the G37 sport w/manual residuals are quite high, 61-63% for a 39/36 month term respectively. Money factors between the two dealers I have been talking to are either .0024 or .00194. I also inquired about rates on the G35 sedan just to prove something and find residuals are less 58% for 36 months and 57% for 39, but money factors are about the same at one dealer, .00194 for 36 mos and .00213 for 39 mos. For a 24 month lease residual on the sedan is 66% (not very good as the G37s is 63% for 39 months) but the money factor is .00127 and all deals on the sedan have a capitalized cost, i.e. purchase price, at dealer invoice (from Edmunds). For the G37s a discount from MRSP is ~$2k plus right now.

$2,000 off is great compared to what I was presented with 2 weeks ago. They were still trying to markup a grand, and then acted like they did me a favor coming back to MSRP. And this was presented only because I have a family member currently leasing a new M45. They have to do better than this, I would like to be paying around $500 for the prem, nav package, 39 month, 12k a yr. How can I negotiate that? How much should I put down, etc.

This deal on infiniti.com...i just spoke with a dealer telling me that this offer seems a bit low for a g37. I said go check your website, thats the offer thats up there now. They are crazy over here.
