For those who finance

Hey guys..comparing to these lease numbers we recently recieve from infiniti i think im better off financing. Which anyways feel much better financing knowing its mine. Couple questions. On a 41-43k infiniti g37S what do you think i should be using as an down payment? The g coupe comes out with a new body style every 5 years.. correct?? Now how long are you financing for, along with how much you will be dropping as a DP, (if its not a prob to say). I have no problem financing for 5 years if not more if a new body style comes out every 5 years.

So how did you finance your g37?

7 years and 10K down, but I'll have it payed off in 5 (if not earlier). Just depends on whether or not you'll get hit for pre-payment penalties, and how big of a monthly you can afford.

Total purchase price for me was a hair over 50k. Down was 10k. We'll assume a 40k loan.

For 7 years the monthly is 575 at 5.5% interest.

For 5 years the monthly would have been $764.

In the end I'll prolly just pay $1000/mo and get it done with quickly.

50k American greenbacks. 6MT, premium, nav, spoiler, extended warranty and prepaid maintenance. So if you took out the warranty and the maint, it would be around 47.5k I think.

I'd have to double check, but it's the maintenances up to 30k. Ran me a little under a grand. It was dealer specific, but I imagine a lot of dealers do this.

For every 1000 down you are roughly saving $25 dollars on a monthly payment.

No offense, but they got you. Why pay interest and make payments on a maintenance plan? It it something that you pay $40/ 3000 miles. So what costs you $1000 now will cost you $1385 over the 7 year period. You only get in for 30k miles so let's suggest that was 3 years just to be fair. For 30k miles you would change your oil every 3k miles which is 10 oil changes. 10 oil changes at $40 is $400. Your rotate and balance done 4 times is $120 @ $30 each. Auto Transmission fluid replace is $5. Coolant Replace is $10. And an Air Filter Replace done twice is $31. Altogether you would be paying $566 for all of your standard maintenance done within $30k miles. Remember that they are not flushing your coolant or fluids. Even if they did you would still be saving money paying on your own. I took the regular scheduled maintenance data from http://www.infinitihelp.com/Infiniti...nce/G35/30.htm
In the end you are paying an extra $800. That is one expensive oil change.

Plans (These are all estimated):

$42,500 for car
$-16,000 for trade-in
$-1,000 off msrp (hopefully)

25,500 *1.06 (Tax) = 27,030
27030 + title, tags, reg = 27,500 (est)

Should be about $530/month @5.29% for 60 months.

Now all I have to do is get my trade-in value and $1k off. lol.

I'm hoping for mine, 43k for the car, 43k down (paying cash) But then I might put 30-35k down, and use the rest for rims and goodies.

My dealer throws in the 2 year routine maintenance for no cost. He has been doing this for a number of years. It does not include the 30k mile service but oil changes etc up to then.
