If your credit score is over 800 that money factor is terrible. That comes out to 8.04% interest. (2400 X 0.00335) You should be able to do much better than that. Keep working with USAA. I have seen guys around here talk about great deals through them. Don't be in a rush and come in prepared and you will be fine. How much are they coming off of MSRP? They should be giving you something off. Don't let them fool you into thinking that they can't. They just don't want to.
Good luck!!

Stick with USAA. Also remember that if you are buying a house, having a $700 car payment will reduce how much house you can buy. Just something else to think about since you mentioned it in your original post. It all depends on your income and I won't try to estimate that.

I think that lease deal is awful, so if you really want to lease then you may be better off waiting until the money factor comes down.

That is the same exact car I reserved. I'm going to try to get some money off MSRP and get more for my trade. It should be a fun day! lol. I'm ready to walk though and wait if I need to, although I would really like a G37 by next week

Your dealer is trying to royally screw you. The lease MF should start at .00285, and you can buy it down further by applying multiple security deposits. Either way, the difference between .00285 and .00335 is just money in the dealer's pocket...

Insist on the lower rate!

In your calculations, although you're paying $26,315 for the car for 3 years, you have to bring your calculations for purchasing at that same time interval, to have a true comparison.

As far as the purchase is concerned, you buy it, apply the taxes, and that is it... you get 1 payment per month which takes both the car amount and taxes into account... i dont know where your $1500 came from...

It seems like you have a lot of reading to do... i suggest yahoo cars and edmunds to help you educate yourself as far as the differences between leases and puchases, cons/pros of both, and finally a test you can take to help you determine which one might suit you best... search around and you'll find them.

Either way, the dealer is trying to royally rape you on interest rates... it's a slow process, but they'll cave if you know your correct numbers!

well i told him upfront that I felt the MF was high and the interest rate was way to high...he told me the cars on the lot have only been out for 9 days.

I think 600 plus insurance is going to be too much... i think im going to focus on a g35.

Thanks for your help guys! have fun with your G37...it was a dream when i test drove it.
