Ok, just looked at it - as suspected it has a $4,300 down payment - the equivalnet of $120/month!! Plus a low option model.

You were correct, sir! I misunderstood your post by thinking the negotiated and MSRP would be equal but they would not be for the 335. My bad

G thang, can you tell me how this all worked out for you? Did you get your car ok? How was the service at fleetrates? Who ended up financing your lease?

Thanks in advance

My boy got a car thru them(not an Infiniti) and it went smooth! There is NO B.S. involved, you tell them what you wan't and they go get it for INVOICE or lower. If you are leasing or financing they get you the LOWEST interest rate possible.I just called them one day to see what's up with the G37 and they gave me those numbers that I posted.

It seems as though they get the car somewhere else and ship to you for $600. I dont know about this though, but the deal looks sick online. $479 for prem/sport/nav journey. It looks to good to be true..

"Disclaimer: All advertised lease payments are based with 10% capitalized cost reductions plus standard drive off fee's. Typical terms are 48-63 months with A tier one credit and are based on between 10-12K miles per year. Payments shown don't include taxes or registration fee's, are subject to credit approval and prior sale."

Seems to me that you'd have to place a $4500 down payment (equal to ~100 more/month) plus taxes. You're looking at around a 630-640 true monthly payment... Could even be more depending on how many miles you have and how many months it's for.

Try not to compare monthly payments so much... look at the overall amount you're paying over the life of the lease...
Most dealers try to push the consumer into a "how much do you want to spend per month?" scenario, and they'll screw the numbers to get you there... while screwing you on something else.

Read the fine print, and go by residual numbers and MFs...

They deal directly with the fleet manager at the dealer!I'm not sure what your credit score is or yur personal info, but based on my info with 10,500k miles a year(don't drive much) taxes included in the payment, those are the numbers they gave me.The guy was pretty much straight forward no negotiating back and forth etc.I'm just trynna help that's all.If you can find a better deal,go for for it!I was told that they get in contact with a dealer in yur area for you to pick up the vehicle..shipping is the last resort.

Wow! $600-700 payments that's pretty high...

Now, I'm no financial genius or anything. But may I ask why most of you choose the 36 mth period rather than 48 mth?

Around next Oct. i'll be turning in my G35 for a G37 and thinking of getting a G37 journey (unless the GT-R becomes really affordable ) My payments are as follows:

1000 down
475 mth
4yrs @ 15k

From what I see most of you are paying 2K or more to get into a G37. From the website I read: www.carbuyingtips.com you should never put more than 1000 down on a car especially since you're going to return it. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance guys!

"Down" just means a capital cost reduction... money which you'll never see again. If you can spare it, place several "security deposits" to lower your interest rate... it'll save you a nice chunk of change over 3-4 years, and you'll get it back at the end of your lease.

As far as 36 v. 39 v. 48 months, it's a matter of finding the best (money wise) residual to length of term. Difference is usually pretty low however. A bigger factor is not wanting to spend 4 years in this car... about 2 1/2 years in I get the itch to change it...

The one thing that I can comment on is that the numbers you gave us don't reflect an MSRP. So that might be a terrible deal for a base, ~$35k car... Most of us have fully loaded cars, in the $44k range...

My car at signing ended up being 35K with the Premium and Sport options. Did I understand what you meant here? Please elaborate. Thanks!

I dont know how you managed that deal, as a 5AT Journey with Premium and Sport has an INVOICE of $37k. MSRP is $40,765 (check out www.edmunds.com). It's highly unlikely that the dealer is giving you the car for less than it took them to purchase the car from the manufacturer... If you were talking about the 6MT, you're still looking at an invoice of $36k...

Are you saying you got it for $1k-2k under invoice?

Regardless, there are really two things to consider when you're leasing a car... the price you're actually getting the car at and the money factor. There are several things which may affect those two, but the price and MF control how much you're paying.

In your above example, if you got the price at invoice (highly unlikely for the time being!!!), your price per month is actually off by about 50-60. So your 475 becomes ~530 + taxes... which takes you to about $570. FYI, every 1000 increase in the price of the car is about $26-30 more per month...

read that website you quoted earlier again... they have a lot of great information about leasing a vehicle. If all else fails, ask around and you'll get the hang of it.

Just leased mine 2 weeks ago...

Black G37 w/ Sport and rear spoiler. $525/mo. (includes tax), 15k mi/yr., 39 month lease.

Up front I paid first month ($525), Infiniti financial fee ($595), and assorted Florida fees like tax/title (~$250), totalling $1370 out of pocket.
