If you checked my XR1 install thread it wasn't until after their install that I learned the tech's did not do the required 35lb torque of those top nuts. It was that top rubber bushing encased in metal that was free to move at will over every bump. I've not heard a peep from them since the reinstall.
The G looks marvelous and the wheels really set it off!

Couldn't ask for a better wheel to go w/ that body color, that charcoal inner and machined outer combo is perfect right there, and now that it's lowered that fit couldn't get much better.
Really looking forward to reviews on the coilovers & the tires once you get time with them.
Very nice build you're doing sir!

Thank you, John! Hopefully we can get lined up at the meet this summer for a proper photoshoot with our cars! I'm slowly getting better with my DSLR.

I have XR1 true type c/o's. I don't know how they compare to your SS.
But, if you read my install thread, those polymer bushings that rest beneath the upper mount, which are surrounded top/bottom by metal, clinked and clunked over every bump - it wasn't until after they were installed that I learned from the supplier that the center nut, surrounding the strut shaft, requires a 35 lb torque. See below pic -
If yours haven't been torqued you're going to have to remove the rears to get at the top center nut...that is, if your rears are inverted types like the XR1 rears.
It's not in the XR1 manual, which it should be, because without torquing those bushings are free to move. It's the shop/supplier in IL which reportedly installs 3-4 Stance c/o's per week that informed me - after I had the clunking-clinking noise.
My reinstall, with torqued nuts, is as silent as stock.

No. The center nut beneath the damper adjustment ****. Per Stance, that center nut should be torqued to 35lbs.
