My only comment about Tanoshi is that is is very similar to tanuki, a japanese raccoon-dog.
Which (and I am NOT advocating for this), if you wanted to add a pair of trucknutz right below the plate, would be true to the concept of the tanuki in japanese art and myth.

I got my bent rim fixed the other day and I was surprised that it worked with heat and a special press. I had to go this route because TSW discontinued my rims and I did not want to buy 4 rims when the other 3 were good. I was also surprised by how rare this rim fixing business is. I live in an area of about 350,000 people and LOTS of tire shops, but not one of them repairs bent rims. Lots of places to fix cosmetic issues, but this guy had to drive here from about 90 miles away. It was not expensive to do, but I guess it made sense to the guy to drive the distance. The rim was out of round by 300/1000's.
Well, I'd say I *wish* I had owned a viper at one time, but I saw too many of them pack it in nose-first going under the bridge at VIR.
On the other hand, I'm starting to like cars that want to kill me again, so maybe I'd be OK with one LOL.
What about "Ikku yo" or "ikkuyo" ? Literally means "all right" but translates as "let's go". Again, Kansai-ben informal tense. Can be used as a challenge too.
Got anymore Japanese plate ideas? I thought of these ideas below, but it is tough with Japanese as the words seem to be a lot longer.
Balance (I wanted to do balanced, but it is way too long)
Gear head (I had to take out a "d" to make it fit and my wife thinks it is too close to spelling ghetto phonetically)
I also thought of a play on the raid slogan- kills bugs fast as I was cleaning the front of my car, but I am not sure many people will read it correctly because I need to eliminate so many letters.
My steering wheel cover finally arrived after well over 2 months! It came with lots of swag too. I should be able to get this on soon, but not really looking forward to screwing around with my airbag. FYI: If you are ordering parts from Japan use a company that ships via DHL not the postal service. This will save you a couple of months worth of waiting.
I got my Nissan steering wheel cover on so the Nissan Skyline conversion is now complete! I felt like I was diffusing a bomb with the airbag in my hands and also due to how fragile the clips are on the back of it that you disconnect, but I got it done.
If you try this make sure you disconnect your battery 1st and pick up a Torx security socket T30 (magnetic if possible) for your ratchet. (You can get an entire set on Amazon for about $15- there are many to choose from.) Don't just get a Torx security bit for a screwdriver because you will need more twisting torque and you will probably drop the bit and screw into the steering wheel on the passenger side after you already secured the driver's side. I'll give you one guess as to how I know that.

That's a good idea. I tried using a few flat head screwdrivers, but it came off much easier by sticking one of the silver tabs on the back in a vise. I just had to be careful not to bend it too much.
It took me a few passes at "LVS 2 REV" in order to read it as "loves to rev". My first thought was "leaves", and then "lives", after which the rest of it didn't makes sense. So there's that.
"GOT 6SPD" is pretty obvious. No guesswork. And it's less arrogant, IMO.
So I vote "GOT 6SPD", but no space. GOT6SPD just looks better.

Thanks for the vote Rochester. So far only you and my wife did not get the LOVES part initially, but I could see that. Then again you read GOT 6SPD as a statement and it is intended as a question so maybe you are reading the LVS 2 REV being about the driver instead of the car?
I was thinking that the plate would be a lot easier to read with a space, but there is actually just a little space between the "T" and the "6" due to the shape of the "6." Hmmm...
Or what about equal spacing on both sides of the 6? (I must be bored )
As a part of the dairy industry's campaign a few decades ago, "Got Milk?" was indeed presented as a question. But I still see it more as a declarative statement, with just a hint of a challenge. Way-y-y-y too much thought on the topic, not that there's anything wrong with analysis on intent and interpretation.
Seeing the two, I still think spaceless is the way to go. It's a good plate. Lock it in and get it.
