2008 to 2010 sedan front end conversion

Just completed my front end conversion. 2008 g35xs to 2010 sport front. Took some time and finally got it done. A lot easier than i thought. I purchased everything piece by piece using myg37, g35driver , craigslist, ebay and dealer.

i got the headlights, midnight grill, fogs with bezels for 900 shipped from this forum
fog light grills from Douglus Infiniti 90 bucks
everything else was from ebay...various infiniti dealers advertising on ebay with pretty aggressive prices. my total from ebay with free shipping was 840. i got the bumper, bumper reinforcement, oem style lip (only thing not from the dealer)
hid fogs, windshield washer reservoir, lower center grill, conversion fog light harness, and infiniti emblem. everything was a straight bolt on. OEM paint for the bumper and lip was 200
total 2,030

Looks really sweet, makes the car look so much meaner. Great job! I have a 2009 G37x sedan, and I wish I could do that. My paint and body is in fair shape so I would rather do that when I can fix all the dings and paint the whole car. Funny is I just received my oem lip for my bumper today. I test fit it and realized I 100% need to get my bumper cleaned up and repainted now. I saw how the bumper is so chipped and the paint is so faded when I put on the freshly painted lip. I will say that lip makes the front bumper look much better. I actually made my own grill, and cut out those 2 ugly black pieces on the bottom of my journey bumper. I can not wait to show pictures when it is done.

Look great. Even your dog seems to like it!

And no holes for the front license plate... just another plus.

I'm actually in the process of doing this same conversion and am curious if the front Infiniti emblem from your original grill fit the new G37 grill or not? Sounded like you needed a new emblem.

Very nice! Always wanted something other than the stock '09 bumper. That front end makes a HELL of a lot of difference in the look. Awesome!

Thanks!

i was having some trouble with my hid replacement bulbs so i got rid of them. (ebay 6000k headlight bulbs and xentec hid 3000k fogs) horrible experience
i purchased morimoto 5500k headlight bulbs and nokya 2500k yellow bulbs. Perfect no issues and much better light out put.

Great. I've had my front emblem custom done in black chrome so I'd prefer to keep it and reuse it with the new grill. The car's getting a complicated custom build right now, but I'll post up some pics when it's all done.

Oh, and thanks for mentioning you experience with the HID replacement bulbs. I've been looking at getting some Morimoto 5500 bulbs to use with my front end sway and now I think you've sold me on them. Can you tell us all where you got them?
