Yes - i have gone through that one many times -it;s one of my favorite threads on this site!

I actually emailed Jason today to start some dialog.

I am leaning towards some sort of silver option. that light smoked graphite looks good also. trying to find something that would contrast nicely with my graphite shadow paint.

My gloss gunmetal works nicely with the Graphite shadow

That does look nice Mike - I am leaning towards a gloss metallic silver tho, a bit lighter than your gunmetal

I have a couple business trips to Tokyo coming up. Maybe I'll try to buy some JDM lug nuts in their home country

Are you taking any shopping requests?
FWIW, stick w/ the darkest blue bat tints if you go that route, but not the opaque, I had the opaque before I went paint, and they look decent but it's easier to tell that they are an overlay vs. the darker tinted ones. Here's a pic of my opaque ones

Even had the opaques on my headlights for a time

Could potentially try to take requests...but chance of me having time and language barrier are going to prove to be difficult...but for you newt, fire away and i'll see what i can do

plan would be for the darker tint overlays if i go that route.

The shift **** is the Ashiko from raceseng. The translucent finish is stunning and matches the graphite shadow exterior paint. It is very difficult to photograph, looks much better in person than the pictures.

The weight at 735! grams makes shifting butter smooth. I decided to go with the 'R' raceseng logo and the engraving. I didn't want a duplicate shift pattern on the **** but wanted to engrave something because the way it looks against the translucent finish really POPS! I also quite like the R logo they have.

OK... wow. That's not what I expected. It looks amazing. I actually dig the logo a lot. And the finish is beautiful. And the size & shape... man, that's intriguing.

Very, very interested in seeing this thing hands-on in August, Mike.

Looking at these pictures, I'm actually open to the idea of replacing my titanium ****... which is something I never thought I'd do. I think perhaps we should swap cars (or just swap *****) in August, for perspective.

For your part, by then I'll have the STS and transmission mount installed. Actually, that's happening on Monday. I have to take down the center console this weekend in prep.

So... no boot ring? Is that because the Ashiko is so big it doesn't need it? Hard to tell in your pics.

And now that you've got this upscale-looking ****, your shift boot is looking very vinyl.

I am going to try to grab some better photo's in the daylight today and with my DSLR. There is a boot retainer that i did install, removed the stock one. I still don't think I have it sitting just right yet so I'll fix it at some point...and yes I think an aftermarket boot is in my future.

Looking forward to your TWM review and trying out the TWM in August.

Snapped some better photos of the Raceseng **** today.
The finish is still pretty tough to shoot well. But hopefully this shows it better...

It looks a lot better from a sitting position. When you bring the camera down parallel to the shifter, it looks rather awkward. Wrong, even. That could be due to the lack of a ring between the boot and the ****, or the vinyl OEM boot. IDK, but it really doesn't matter because that's not a real-world perspective. Looking down on it, at an angle, it looks beautiful, and substantial. That's how you see and use the ****, not by sneaking up on it from the floor. (Even though that is how you create interesting photos, by establishing an atypical perspective. In that context, nice pics, Mike.)

FWIW, that's my thinking on it based on what I'm seeing. Again, looking forward to seeing it in person, gripping the thing and getting a feel for the weight. Should be interesting.
