BTW, what tire sizes are you running, great stance & fit. Also have you figured out what route you're going to go w/ coilovers?

The gen 2 sound awesome....noticed a nice difference in throttle response and when you stomp it...oh yeah...growling big time. I cant wait to pair these with the FI CBE. I chose the gen 2's as I wanted easier access as well as I like the look. I am not trying to get max hp gains...just trying to sweeten things a little while still keeping it easy to live with. Only takes one bolt and a little wiggling to get these out. The k&N filters are huge and are really helping the car breathe better.
The housings were really easy to prep and paint. It is a nice touch to the engine bay.
Cusco install was easy. Did the flanges with tires on the ground....raised the car until the suspension was unloaded and then but the middle bar on. I think we did the Cusco to 32 in lbs per bolt. I didn't want to over tighten them.

Brad - Why thank you! I really like they way things came out as well. Not to crazy...but just a little kick. The rotors and calipers are my fav part. This was sort of a tough mod cycle as it is my first G mods...but I am not a newbie to tuning...have done several America muscle cars.
Yeah as a designer I know that good designs are all in the details. I think it is the same for car mods. It is the small things that make it feel cohesive. you have to sort of have a overall master plan so you know what colors, textures, form etc you want to use. I am getting the tails done next weekend and the Whitelines are due her Tuesday so they will go on as well. then wait for the FI to come in the mail...might have to do some other things while I am waiting to keep from getting bored!

I am running 245/35/20 up front on a 9.5" wide rim and 275/30/20 on a 10.5 in the rear. The back tires look freaking HUGE. All my neighbors are like dude...those tires look huge! Everything sits nice and flush to the body...just like I wanted. I might have to do something on the fronts as far as body kit as the tire is going to kick more debris on the car. I might go with some side rails or just add some Xpel clear bra to that are to protect the paint.

Since I am just a canyon guy I might just go with KW v1's or Swift springs and Konis. Haven't decided yet. I only want a 1" max drop in the rear and maybe 1.25" in front...or maybe 1.5". I do not want any rubbing or dragging of my CBE. I like the way the rear looks right now, but the front could come down some.
I am also trying to keep as much of the "smooth ride" as I can. I travel to LA and Diego a lot and do not want my teeth hurting from the stiffness!

Cusco bar idea!!

Hey everyone..I wanted to let everyone know that I have an idea for the minor rubbing the might happen with the FSTB's....I didnt solve it, but I have a way to protect your bar (without removing your sound and heat insulator). I put an XPEL clear bra on my Cusco bar. You cant even tell its there. It will take all of the minor scuffs and it can be polished and waxed just like paint. I am going to see if the guy that does my bra work can make some kits and I will make them available to forum members who want them. He charged me $35 for the material and install. Took him like 20 minutes to put it on. This will work for the Gspec bars as well. I am hoping to have kits for like 20.00....stay tuned for more info.

Thanks for the info, your engine bay is ready to post here for sure~

And although your not as fat as me , 275s in the back gets you into the fat club so you need to shoot a couple pics here too~

And not sure where to get these in the US as they just came out recently, but would be worth a look~You might try Tirerack since they are a Koni dealer.

Nice idea about the bar bra, should be a good pickup for those wanting to keep them clean.

ok....Whileline sways came in today..yeah! I am also getting rear tails tinted and as well as some black gloss vinyl work. Will post pics.
Hopefully the FI CBE's come in a few weeks.
oh...by the way...the gen2 Stillen CAI rocks. the growl is awesome and driving difference was very appreciable. Car is breathing much better : Definite HP gains. Not sorry I went this route. FI CBE should add the perfect touch to this and give me the exotic sound I was looking for.

Tinted tails and Vinyl Work

Ok...so had the tails done as well as the front splitter area in black gloss vinyl. The work came out perfect. I also had a piece of clear bra put on my Cusco bar to keep the hood from buffing it. Looks sweet. cant even tell its there.
The vinyl work came out so good I am going to do the back of my mirrors and possible roof...thoughts from you folks? do you think the roof would be too much? I have seen a few g's with that mod done and it looks sweet. Maybe the real spoiler as well. I want to have just a few gloss black accents, but not too much.

IMO chrome is starting to look out of place on your G (which is a good thing IMO), I'd debadge the back but leave the Infiniti Logo and get it wrapped in black vinyl (simple DIY BTW) and either get the rear spoiler or wrap the chrome lip in black vinyl too. That would make the black roof really go well if that's what you decide. Of course the headlights will need some attention down the road w/ all you've done thus far Just be sure to swap the TSX lenses when you do for the perfect "pop".
Car's looking sweet bro!

Wow man, you've done quite a bit in the past month. And yes you did do a lot of writing lol Very informative though and definitely will be some good help for anyone doing similar mods down the road. Love the engine bay, calipers is a no brainer and the overall theme works well. My only recommendation at this point to make the colors work even better together, is to eliminate chrome from headlights and trunk finisher spoiler. I'd probably either put and OEM spoiler on or color match what you have. headlights, I'd go with a gloss black (Obsidian black is nice) to match the grill and wheels. Subscribing to this thead. Keep up the good work
