But now you get it, and that's cool.
Here's another winter-only thing I'm planning on setting up for next winter. This Titanium Shift **** is just brutal in the winter. So much so, that's it's simply not tenable without wearing gloves. And unless you take your glove off, the damn thing won't warm up in your hand, so you're stuck with a glove on your shift hand 100% of the time.
In the coming Fall, I'm going to buy an identical design shift **** just for winter, but one made of Copolymer so that sub-freezing temps won't be an issue.

Fog Rings
Almost immediately after buying the car 3 years ago, I dismantled the fog lights and wrapped the lenses in Oracle Amber window tint. I love the look both off and on, mostly because of the way Amber looks against Moonlight White. Here's the thread:
https://www.myg37.com/forums/g37-sed...mber-fogs.html
Last month, it occurred to me to paint the cross-hatched back plate in the fog-light area gloss black, to match the custom grille. Turns out the pieces were only $15 each at OrderInfinitiParts.com, so I figured I'd order them and have it done over the winter. However, it actually turns out that OrderInfinitiParts.com has their order numbers screwed up to their diagrams, so what showed up at my door a few weeks ago were the trim rings, not the back plates.
Rather than send them back, I switched gears and decided to focus on the trim rings. So I dropped them off at the same body shop who did my grille, and had them professionally painted. They etched the chromed plastic, primed, painted and clear-coated.
I know having a body shop do the work might seem over-kill for a trim piece that's so low on the car. But the quality is so-o-o good. They don't look at all like something *painted*. They look perfectly OEM. Not even a whiff of orangepeel. They're gorgeous.
Sadly, because Winter, they won't go on the car for another couple of months, but I think they will look really nice. I'll probably re-do the amber tint while at it... been a few years, and there are a couple of nicks in the tint.

Those are going to look great.
I started off spraying mine with duplicolor shadow black chrome trim paint, but it got all chipped up. So I plastidipped them. Then I kissed bumpers with another car and it peeled the dip off a bit. The body shopped removed the rest of the dip and sprayed them flat black, matching the honeycomb surrounds. Subtle mod, like blacking out the window trim, that looks OEM.

A month later? Ah, nope. Not yet.
Lance told me the order has been sitting, waiting for tips that were held up on the west coast because of the ongoing Port delays. That was last week. Also in that PM was the expectation that they would ship out on March 27th... which is tomorrow.
Knock on wood. It's been 13 weeks.
