Here's the first picture I've taken of the car yesterday after installing the summer wheels & tires. I'm sure to take more as things warm up and opportunity presents itself. Plus, I just bought a new camera, so... Toys! LOL



The car itself is filthy, although that's hard to tell in a photo. People sensitive to wheel gap will have issue with the front end, but the car is a un-dropped NISSAN, so it is what it is. If that makes you uncomfortable, well then deal with it, because wheel gap isn't an issue for me. What is an issue, and this picture doesn't represent well, is the poke in the rear with 10" wide rims at a +42 offset wrapped in 275/35ZR19 tires. They stick out more than a 1/2" from the vertical plane of the rear fender. The fronts seem almost perfectly flush, but the rears... I'm none too happy about that.

Overall, however, it's a better set-up than stock. I can't deny that opinion. I think this wheel design and silver finish looks great against Moonlight White.

And of course, the tires. PSS on a Sport Suspension with aftermarket sway-bars is an amazing driving experience. So much point & shoot handling, you'd swear this sedan was a sportscar.

Fronts: 19" x 8.5" +32, 5x114.3, 245/40ZR19

Looks good Rochester, nice clean car. Too bad NYS tint laws suck and you can't carry over the back tint to the front. I think the ride height looks ok for stock. I swear the AWD cars have even more ride height than the RWD models.

Actually, the back-door tint is also illegal in NY for passenger cars. But not SUV's, cross-overs, trucks or limousines. Don't know why. And there are no laws on the rear window... I could paint it black if I wanted. Can't explain that, either.

I think the whole VIP approach to window tint gives me a pass from cops, because they can see the driver. But IDK really.

AFAIK, they do ride higher, however the undercarriage itself is actually lower to the ground. In other words, the AWD body is higher off the ground, but the ground clearance is slightly lower.

I dunno J, the more I see that picture the more I like it. As I mentioned in the other thread I think a slight reduction would make it more aggressive but I like it as it is, clean and classy.

Pics of the rear wheel poke, please? Do the 19" CVT's only come in one offset?

Does the two-tone side mirror paint job bother anyone, or is it just me?

The silver looks great with the moonlight white. I'm looking forward to a review of the wheels, and the PSS.

Later today. I'm not proud... much.

In our 5x114.3 bolt pattern, the 19x10 only come in +20 and +42. That's it. Vossen isn't big on configuration options... which I'm sure translates into a more profitable ratio of revenue over inventory.

Really liking your wheels with the moonlight white. As far as the poke is concerned, you may be able to find a place that will deck 5mm off of the rear mounting surface to give you a +47. I had that done once and had zero problems and it no more poke problem.

I don't think being non-lowered is a problem, looks just right. 20's might be a different story.

Digging your dark tint too. I'm thinking of having my tint redone to have the rear windows darker. In Texas, I think we're similar to NY. We can have the rear however dark we want, rear windows 20%, and driver has to be 35%.

Looks great Rochester. I especially like how the wider rears accentuate the concavity of the wheels. And with that spoke pattern I swear your car is moving ...

The only thing that gets under my skin in this rear poke. Poke, poke, poke...

Those wheels look amazing. And the 275s look nice and aggressive. I;m sure the wider PSS stick like glue. Love it.

But the way they poke out would bother me too.

I know you don't want to hear about the wheel gap, but it seems more pronounced. Maybe it's just because I'm used to the way black seems to hide the gap on my car

Like I said before, you're SO close to being Aces. IMO that small Nismo drop would be the ticket. Love those McGards w/ those wheels, couldn't have found a better choice. If you've got a couple fat friends just have them hang on one side of the car to compress about 1/2-3/4" and check the poke, I'm guessing it would be right at flush

I think I'd like to discuss this with you some more, Brad. Because tomorrow I'm considering swapping one of the front wheels to the back, to see how I felt about these rims as a square set-up. But of course, going down that road is a huge hassle and expense. Doubt N4S would accept the rear rims back... IDK. Either way, big money to "fix" what may or may not be a problem.

Love these rims. The design and finish is very appealing on a Moonlight White Sedan. But this poke is making me miserable.

Well, getting off snow tires sure is a welcome change. I can launch the car with total control, slipping hard into 2nd without a hitch. You gotta love that. And highway ramping is so delightfully point & shoot. Love that, too.
