Someone posted that Concept Z was selling the Takeda long-tube intake for $404 shipped.

It's a great price. And while I don't expect to act on it anytime soon, it make me think about future mods. Particularly that I'm kind of running out of things to do with this car... things that fit my automotive values and budget. However, I've always said that someday I might replace my R2C Intake kit with a long-tube, like Takeda or Stillen. Well, it's been a while. Since Summer of 2013, to be precise. And over the years, I've always gravitated more towards the Takeda over the Stillen.
So that got me thinking, maybe getting the Takeda long-tube intake is a reasonable mod to do in the near future, this year or next probably. And if I were to do that, then I could take the polished midpipes from the intake, and my GT-Spec FSTB, and have them both powdercoated in black chrome. That would look particularly good, I think.

Otherwise, I get that Moncef has designed an optimal air intake system. He's a straight-up, smart guy and if I were trying to eek out every ounce, I'd get his intake kit in a heartbeat, and I'd do a street tune with him remotely, because he knows his stuff. But I'm just not into how his intake looks, that's all.

Just aesthetics. I'm not digging the big Admin Tuning plaque on the side, or the welds on the mid pipe. And I'd prefer to have the MAF sensors tucked underneath.

The Nismo intake... doesn't it drop the filters into the fenders instead of in front of the radiator? I'm not that up on the Nismo option.

I'd love to come away from this project firing on all cylinders... looks, handing, performance. But I'll settle for looks, and maybe online bragging rights, such as it is.
Watched you mod two sedans over the years here. You had fun, they were fantastic cars, and you don't have any need for regrets.

I think about this particular car hobby as much about driving and owning the car as I do researching (such as it is) and planning. I loosely adhere to an arbitrary, self-imposed budget that hovers around $2500 per year, give or take. That budget includes mods, maintenance, parts and repairs, so it's not always exciting about money spent... but it usually is. 
And I've been at this since buying the car nearly new back in Jan 2012, or 8+ years now. So naturally there are fewer things left on the list.
Anyway, more and more lately, I'm thinking about getting the car tuned.

The research and anticipation is almost just as fun as driving the car itself. And seeing a vision fulfilled, well that's just icing on the cake 
Tuning is one of my big goals for 2020 once I complete my bolt ons. Interested to see which way you go (assuming you pull the trigger) as there's tons of variables to consider. Tuners, Tuning software, remote or dyno etc...
