Thanks! It's a Maltipoo (a Maltese/Toy Poodle cross). Wife has wanted a house dog that we can travel with, and this one seemed to have her name on him
Already crate-trained and "mostly" figured out his accident schedule, so we're slowly teaching him who's got seniority around here
Got a Rottweiler & a Pit/Lab mix for outdoors, but this is our first house/lap dog, a real fun fellow.

Just ordered an armrest leather piece from Redline Goods, to match their charcoal leather in the shift boot. Perforated charcoal leather on the top, and non-perf on the sides, with matching stitching.
In prep, I took the armrest apart and realized this is a no-brainer. No as long as the new piece has good fitment, should be fine. Might need to buy some extra padding from the hobby store, and some kind of glue... I really don't know yet. I'll figure it out as I go.
Redline has very aggressive promotions, so I figured $41-shipped was very reasonable.

Fantastic. Thanks for chiming in. You're a week or two ahead of me, so I would be grateful for tips.

I did a quick fitment check on the armrest, looks like it going to be a pain as well. I need to step back and think a little on the approach. I'll keep you posted. Btw, my initial thought is that it goes right over the OE cover vs. peeling it back the old and replacing with the new.

I've also bee thinking about the perforated leather, wondering if I have to make sure the foam underneath is dark.

That's not what I'm planning on. Pretty sure that would look wrong. I haven't peeled the OEM vinyl off yet, but if I have to hit up the hobby store for foam, cut & glue... so be it.

I was struggling with getting the back portion of the armrest and the leather to fit snug and tight. It would bother the crap of me if I messed it up.
As for the lighter foam, I put a piece of white paper underneath the perf leather and it was surprisingly not noticeable.
Good luck my friend!
