I love the quote off of their website that is completely hypocritical of what they actually told you. Be sure to reference this quote by asking if their response about making money is an example of the "unparalleled customer service" they reference on their website.

Wait until you guys use up your PSS and decide to step up to some Extreme Performance summer tires like the RE-71R's I am running now. Almost as big a leap in performance- on the track anyway. Now that I think about it, probably overkill if you are just driving on the street. Nevermind. Carry on...

Replacing PSS every 14-15 months is bad enough, I think my wife would kill me if I needed new tires every 6-8 months

I've been hesitant to step up to Extreme Performance summers. Sure, dry grip is likely amazing, but you sacrifice wet weather performance, treadwear AND they're more expensive.

I have had good luck with mine. But you are right, Michelin Pilot Super Sports should last longer because they have a much higher tread wear rating. However, this comes at a pretty significant cost of handling on track. Again, if you are just driving on the street- no big deal. But I have tracked both tires and the RE-71R's are in another universe when it comes to grip.

Not sure how much you use it, but Social Media is the way to justice with these companies now-a-days. If you have something like Twitter or their Facebook page, leave a bad review with some of the details, If not, go to Yelp.com and Google.com and leave the bad reviews there. You'll be surprised how quickly MOST companies will try to address a situation then.

Really don't understand their reluctance. I bought parts from them, they took my money, but didn't actually send me the parts. Whether it happened 8 months ago or 8 minutes ago... that's what happened. Pretty simple ethics check, IMO.

Wet weather performance is very good with the RE-71R's- one of the reasons I got them. Treadwear is good too. You go through PSS tires about once a year?!? Either you put on a ton of miles or you have a heavy right foot. I have had my RE-71R's for over a year and they are not quite half used. This includes a number of track days (one which really eats tires).

I have yet to find a quality performance tire that will last me much more than a year (or around 10K miles) on the rear of my G. Here's a list of all of the tires I've had on the rear of my G through it's 60K mile life so far.
OEM Bridgestone Potenza RE050A 245/45R18 (apx 10K Miles)
Falken Tires FK452 265/35R20 (apx. 13K Miles)
Bridgestone Potenza RE760 275/30R20 (Apx. 14K Miles)
Bridgestone Potenza S-04 285/30R20 (Apx. 10K Miles)
Bridgestone Potenza S001 305/30R20 (Apx. 9K Miles)
Toyo Proxes T1 Sport 305/25R20 (about 4500 miles so far)
I want to give them a chance to make this right, first. Although the clock is ticking. If they don't act today, it will screw with my mechanic's schedule, and that's uncool.

Yeah, it really surprises me that they are being so dismissive over this whole situation. It shouldn't be too hard for them to run a quick inventory check to see it they show an extra differential bearing in stock. This would be an easy way to tell if those parts were ever actually pulled from their inventory or not. Unless of course, they have already corrected their inventory numbers or possibly someone accidentally shipped your parts with the wrong order.
Good luck to you on this, John. I hope you are able to get the rest of your parts soon so you don't hold up your re-gearing project.

BTW, how would you rate those above tires from best to worst as far as overall performance?

Day Four on my quest to get $60 in parts from TheNismoShop. Another round of unanswered email, another phone call where I'm told, "I'm still researching the problem." Slowly coming to the acceptance they are blowing me off.
