Rear Fat Tire Fitment

I'm this has been asked but here it goes again...
2009 G37x Coupe Auto 118k miles 19" square
So I am changing wheels and will have a staggered fitment. 19x8.5 and 19x 10.5 - +40 and +44. Looking for no rub and no poke. Stock suspension for now. Front is going to be 255x40 and rear I would like to be 285x40 but this is an odd size and not easy to be found. How wide can I go? I am trying to stay within that 1% difference from stock but would like some sidewal for comfort and protection.
Thoughts?

with those wheel specs, you can do a 255/40R19 (27 in diameter) and 295/35R19 (27.1 in diameter) and the diameter difference comes out to be 0.4%.

With stock suspension, I think you can clear a 295/35 with the 10.5" +44 on a coupe.

Wow, that would be fat! I'll have to check that out. I think a buddy of mine and me came out with 285x35 to be virtually "0" . Prolly not much price difference, just have to see what's more available. Thanks!

you can go either 285/35 or 295/35, both will give you roughly 0%. 285/35 is 26.9" while 295/35 is 27.1", so your either negative 0.4% with the 285/35 since its slightly smaller or positive 0.4% since its slightly larger.

my suggestion would be go with the 295/35.

im running 274/45/19. I bought the wheels second hand and they had hideous 235/25/19
on the rear i hate the stretch look. But tbh my offset wont allow mw to drop it very much

Cheat code these are fairly good tires with good tread wear only $90 each on amazon free next day shipping with prime and Mavis formerly Midas only charges $20 per wheel mounted and balanced and they take your old tires free! Im running 245/35/19 on the front but du to the offset i has to run spacers but i didnt get junk ones from autozone they actually bolt on and are torqued
