Nismo 19x10.5 +23 fitment

Before buying the factory V1 Nismo wheels, I've searched far and wide for real info regarding fitment and tire choice. Not a lot of good info out there. So here are the facts whether you are on factory suspension, coilovers or bags. Pictured below is my own G37 coupe with factory quarter panels. I ended up pulling the hell out of them later, just to find out that the pull wasn't the biggest factor in fitment. It was the rear bumper tabs that rubbed and needed trimming (possible delete with tab relocation) to avoid rubbing. The 285/35/19 pokes out 5/8 inch. Even more to the rear where the body starts to taper.

1. The factory Nissan suggested size of 285/35/19 will NOT fit under any circumstances. (don't try unless your running aftermarket wide fender flares)
2. 275/35/19 will fit VERY tight, but you will need to trim the bumper tabs very aggressively and you'll need after market camber arms to run more camber. (more than -3)
3. 265/35/19 are quite thin and you will see 1-2mm of wheel poke, but you will not rub at all. (even under aggressive driving or dips in the road)

How about a couple of side shots... with the wheels on the car?

Looking sharp!

I'm torn between the NISMO v1's & v2's, myself...

You can’t go wrong with either version. I was torn with going 19x10.5 all around or going staggered. I decided to go with staggered since I love the RWD look. I also went with the 265/35/19 tire in the rear since I drive pretty fast on the highways and don’t want any rubbing when the suspension compresses hard on dips in the road.

Looks sick, thx for the info on fitment. I was debating these or GTR wheels, but I want a set of 4 rears for my awd sedan, and that’s not very easy to find, lol. Love the chrome.

It is hard to find any decent set of Nismo's that doesn't require a second mortgage. The "GTR-tax" is even more painful, lol.

Good info in this thread, though. Again, thanks for providing details and posting pics.

Great information, I just put on a pair of these 245/40 & 275/35. Only time I rub is on "big dips". I'm not even sure if it's the actual fender or the bumper bracket, but the noise sounds squeaky like when you walk with wet shoes. I'll post some pictures when I get off work.

With the 265/35/19, do you think the bumper bracket/rear camber kit would still be needed?

I'm on OEM suspension as well - Q60S.

@cpunlamd I'm picking up a set of the staggered V1. What size tires are you running in the Front? Thanks!

19x10.5

Just recently purchased a pair of v1 19x10.5 trying to get some information on some tires to run, seeing a lot of 265/35/19, would you guys say this is a good size to run

Do you plan to run any camber and how low are you? Do you have a coupe or sedan?

The 265/35R19 can work if you are on the higher side.

I'm at about 27" from ground to top of fender and not running any camber. For me to make it fit on my sedan, I had to go with a much narrower tire. I stretched a 245/40R19 for a 19x10.5 +23 spec
