Braided brake lines
Looking for brake lines for my 2010 G37X. Everyone seems to use the Stoptech one size fits all stuff. Not me...but I can't find exactly what I need to get to install the Akebono calipers all around. I ordered the hard lines for the front calipers from Infiniti, the rear had them intact, so I won't be doing the banjo bolt conversion.
Z1 makes some, but a post on here revealed they weren't very happy with the fit. Then I read about 4 lines are needed, then 6 lines.
Goodridge makes some expensive lines, but can't find a correct part number, it just depends where you look as to what part they are selling. Any of you guys up to speed on this stuff???

Well, I'll be the first to call someone out on cheap ebay parts for something as important as brakes but there's nothing wrong with Stop-Tech. If you're really picky, there should be no question on how much to spend on the one thing stopping you from flying off a cliff or stopping before you do.. Pay whatever it takes for piece of mind.
Just for a quick bit of info, stock lines are just thick high pressure rubber hoses with clamped banjo bolts. Industry standard stainless lines are thick Teflon hoses with stainless steel flexible sleeves. There's no difference between BAER, Brembo, Willwood or Stop-Tech lines, they are ALL made the same way with the same expectations of line pressure. Lines are lines bro.
I may be sort of biased since I have ran the same set of Stop-Tech lines on our SCCA track turbo Miata without a single issue for I think 4 seasons now, the pads and calipers will wear out FAR before the lines ever will.
