And you were right!

Thank you very much for the suggestion.

Going with 18x9.5 ET34 wheels; so thinking about tires, specifically overall tire height.

Calculators have me at stock: 682 mm (I'm on spacers, so tires look almost flush)
So if I play with width and sidewall height:
265/45: 696 mm. Maybe too tall, but now the wheel is tucked so it might be ok.
265/40: 669 mm. Shorter than stock
275/45: 705 mm. Way too tall.
275/40: 677 mm. This might be it, perhaps 5 mm spacers for the flush look. Worried about the fit on the front.
285/45: 714 mm. Nope
285/40: 685 mm. Right height, not sure about the fit on the front... or back.

What would be the optimal tire size?

Your welcome, lol. I see you got DWS tires - nice choice there also.

Not my first choice, I wanted DWs, but I am happy with them.

so i've pulled the plug on some Work Emotion D9Rs 19x8.5 +30 for my g37 sedan to clear akebonos too, just wondering which size tires would be the best fit on stock height, 245/40 or 255/35? currently on 245/45/18 and that fills up the guard a bit better than 245/40 i believe

pic for reference:

Nice wheels! A 245/40/19 will be the same diameter as the 245/45/18 but you will be out about 15mm from your oem wheels w/ the +30 offset, IMO the 245/40/19s will be a nice fit.

19x10 35

After owning my x sedan for 3 years, and doing a lot of research I finally signed up and doing my first post.

I think I'm getting close to the setup I'm looking for. I like the way sedans sit with eibach pro kit, but they're just not the same on the x. So I opted for ksport coilovers to get close to that drop as possible. Then I was looking at wheels and I'm thinking 19x10 35 but don't know what tires would work be with that wheel size. Wheels I'm looking at are the str 607, I like the concave look these have.

Finally

Finally made up my mind and did it 20x10 +35 all around. 245/35, and eibach springs love everything about the set up was surprised how the good the springs feel....

Will 275/30r20 tuck on air???

I have a bagged g37 coupe on Vossen cv7's 20x10.5 +25 all around. Right now I'm running 255/30's and it tucks with absolutely no problem, had my front fenders completely rolled. But it's more stretch than I want (especially where I live the roads aren't that great) I'm looking to get 275/30's because I want maximum tire on the road but still be able to tuck when I'm aired out. Anybody have a bagged setup with 275/30's that can give me an answer? Or anybody that will have a 100% yes or not that it will tuck or not.

Thanks

Do you think 275/30/20 would tuck on air? I currently have 20x10.5 +25 all around on 255/30/20 and I didn't want to have this much stretch. I had fender work done so that's not a problem. I'm looking to get 275/30's because I want maximum tire on the pavement but still be able to tuck when I'm aired out.

Looks really good. Any rub issues? Rolled or modified fenders?

By the looks of those pics on Simpsons it's going to be tight but following the camber arc they should just barely tuck right in. He said he had no rubbing issues. Since you already rolled the fronts you should be good there.
You could go 265s all around just to be sure.
Might even post your question in the hellaflush thread~
