Had the exact same problem, was trying to make a show, bagged by 5:30 am drove to get food, 6am front struts blew. This is air lift performance struts btw, managed by airlift v2. I read on their site for the G37 that shock tower needs indentation, and some other guy told me you need to cut the strut. Anyhow, anyone know how to prevent this again? Do I need to indent shock tower? Do I need to cut strut. Thanks!

Sorry I am not sure. If you find out please let me know.

I just got back into town and in the process of getting it replaced under warranty. I'll see what they say when I take my car in.

So I got off the phone with Airlift this morning and they originally wanted me to send them my struts first and have them look it over and either fix it or send me a new set. It was going to be about a week turn around time. Called them back and told them I couldn't really wait that long so they are sending me a new set by overnight mail. I was considering just going AirRex this morning, but since they offered to overnight a new set I'll give them another try.

Alright sounds good man, keep me posted, cause the shop I worked with is sorting it out now and airlift is offering me compensation cause it blew when i was at a driveway and damaged my wrapped bumper.

Got it replaced and it happened again before I even picked my car up from the shop. They said it was ok to drive until I get the issue resolved with Airlift again. As I pulled off the freeway from picking my car up after getting the strut replaced, the bag slipped out of the ring and wouldn't hold air. I was lucky enough to pull out of the main street and into a gas station. The shop was nice enough to send a couple techs to replace the bag with a coilover I had. They sent me a third replacement and haven't had any problems with it so far. Then again I never drive my car and it sits in my garage. To be honest I'm a bit scared of driving my car after that experience.
