awd sedan aftermarket staggered wheels?

Hey guys. I'm a noob when it comes to wheels but I'm being told that the setup I ALREADY bought won't work
My car. 2010 g37x sedan

Rims front 19x8.5 35offset
Rear 19x10 35 offset

Tires. 245/35/19
285/35/19

I'm being told they are "1.1" in difference and will mess up the awd tranny.

Any insight is greatly appreciated

is because you have the AWD, staggered wheels are used for RWD or FWD only. You wouldn't be pulling evenly from all 4 wheels.

You're gonna have to dig through this thread but I was able to find out some good info about our xS sedans and running staggered setups.

https://www.myg37.com/forums/g37-sed...g37-sedan.html

It's possible, but you're gonna have to do some math calcs to make sure you're tire rolling diameters are within 1% to accommodate for tire stretch etc. Honestly, it's above my head but maybe just a sight tire size change will get you where you need to be?

***PLEASE DON'T DRIVE YOUR CAR WITH THOSE SIZES ON YOUR AWD!!
Those sizes are over 4% variance in diameter front to back, this will destroy your AWD car. Variance needs to be less than 1%, and the closer to zero the better.
As you go wider you MUST go down in series (the middle number on your tire) to keep the diameter similar. In your case you need to run a 245/40/19 front and keep your same 285/35/19 in back, this will result in diameter variance of only 0.51%. And keeping the slightly larger diameter tire in back is a plus since your rear tires wear faster, so your rear diameter will decrease more than your front which brings the variance even closer over time. If you haven't driven on your tires yet hopefully the dealer can change them out without a cost penalty. Good Luck!

Thank you guys. I haven't mounted these tires yet. But I can run those rims even though they're wider in the rear? Just change tire size? One of my stock tires blew out...I have the spare donut on and my awd light flashes. Just wouldn't want that with the aftermarket wheels

Thanks guys

Very happy to hear you haven't driven on that tire combo, all you need to do is what I posted above and get that 40 series front tire. I am surprised the spare tire activated the AWD light though, unless you were driving faster than what's recommended for those spares.

Thank you. You've been an immense help. .51 is okay, and the tire wear will help the variance over time? I read somewhere that I shouldn't go over '.1'

Just to make sure before I order new fronts... 285/35/19. On a 19x10. 35offset , for the rear tires, will fit on a stock 2010 x sedan? No rubbing or fender rolling
Thanks

19x10 +35 is pretty aggressive for a sedan, I'm running +45 on my 10" and am pretty close to flush but I'm running 295s, there's guys running 10.5 +45s and they clear on 295s so technically you should barely fit inside the fender but it's going to be close.
You may have to run a bit extra camber.
