VCS question

Seems like whenever I do a sudden acceleration (like when I'm angry at a left-lane bandit and want to pass on the right...), the red foot brake light comes on, turns off, and then is followed by the light that says the VCS is off, together with the little symbol that has the car and skid marks.

Strangeness from the electronics??

What are you calling "VCS"? Do you mean VSC? That is the toyota name for Variable Stability Control, and on Infiniti's it is called VDC (vehicle dynamic control). It means your ECU has detected some wheel slippage in one of your rear wheels and is attempting to reroute power to balance it out. I saw your previous thread, driving on bald tires will cause exactly that kind of slippage.

Yes, of course it's VDC...my bad.

That's what I thought it was, seeing as I had to put my OEM wheels and tires back on after that "problem" you saw in my other post...

Thanks for the reply!
