Help:Rubbing Issues

I posted a post a couple days ago about my new Velgen VMB8s. They look awesome, however I am rubbing quite often and I don't think it is only hitting the felt liner inside. I think it is hitting the body because I am finding small gouges in the tires indicating something harder than felt is hitting it. haha

My springs have settled quite a bit in the back and I think that may be contributing to it.

Here is my setup:
Front
20x9 +35 w/ 245/30r20 Tires

Rear
20x10.5 +45 w275/30r20 +45Tires

My question is what is the easiest way to remediate this situation, I don't want to get to a point where it just slices the tire. Also, does anyone know why this is happening. I feel like there are a lot of people on here with upgraded wheels that do not have this issue especially on a stock suspension.

I see a couple quick options:
Roll the fender?
Put in a stiff set of coilovers?

What do you guys think. I can post photos later today.

Most people who go the spring route seem to eventually find their way to coilovers anyways. Could you upload pics of where on the tires the gouges are appearing? It might go a long way towards figuring out what is clipping what, alternatively, do you drive over excessively bumpy roads?

With those specs you should be OK, I'm running 295s on a 10" +45 without issue. What kind of springs do you have and like GFN mentioned some pics would help. Is it just the rear rubbing or the front too?

I'm running the stock nonsport springs and struts.
Only rubbing in the rear.

I do have rough streets here in Boston but I still wouldn't expect it to rub as much as it is.
Here are some photos.

Going back to the shop today to discuss with the mechanic. I believe they are going to roll the fenders first to see if that helps.

If not, maybe I'll use this as an excuse to get coilovers. haha

coilovers will help especially you have less rebound issues when you go on the bumps.

There's a few members running Vossens 10.5" +45 w/ 295s and they're OK, sure seems like you might have a more aggressive offset or need a bit more camber. Seems like excessive poke for a +45

I guess I could have gone with the 25 offset at the rear but I don't think it would have looked as good plus I figured so many other people were running 45 that I wouldn't have issues.

jujubii, where is this bumper bracket tab? I don't think that is the issue but I'll look into it. Had to reschedule the mechanic appointment to Friday.

The smaller the positive offset the more the rim will stick out, the +25 offset would have been 20mm further out. Bumper bracket rubbing is very common on the coupes, not sure about the sedans, I haven't had any issues w/ it and I'm right at the fender edge w/ no gap

Aww....see that is perfect! No fender roll? What setup are you running, cuz when I get a coupe that is the look I want...hopefully without rolling fenders

shaving the tab solves most rubbing issues with our cars (excluding those who are extremely low). do a simple forum search, plenty have done it to alleviate the issue, including myself.
p.s. there is noting for you to roll in the back i.e. you can't roll the rear fenders

I wonder if the shop ordered me +25 instead? I'm assuming it would say it on the wheel somewhere? Probably on the inside, correct?

I'll find out tomorrow. In the meantime, does anyone have a photo of what the fender looks like rolled? Is it very noticeable?

The rear fender is rolled from the factory, it's just taking the inside fender edge and "rolling" it tight so you don't get any inside edge causing interference. The front fender edge is angled up into the fender well so you can easily see the difference just checking under the F&R fenders.
Now "pulling" the fenders is different altogether, this involves pulling the fender edges away from the vehicle and this can look awful if it's not done well.
And yes, the offset should be stamped inside the wheel or at least on your paperwork when the order was made.
