Spring/Shock/Struts/Camber kit
Ive been comtemplating on which springs to buy for my 08 g37s coupe and decided on the H&R springs. However, is it smarter to replace the cars stock shocks and struts at the sametime figuring that they will go out in the near future? I need some suggestions on which shocks, struts and camber kits to buy.

For shocks/struts, you can go either KYB GR-2, Tokico Blues or Koni Yellows. The Koni's are adjustable for rebound. KYB is a direct OEM replacement but can handle up to 1.2/0.8" of drop, per old KYB announcements. The Tokico's are also OEM replacements, but officially support up to 1.5/1" of drop, IIRC.
Camber kits, you can get SPL, SPC or Eibach. I believe there's also Kinetix. Ichiba also has kits available, but many have complained of failures. Eibach's are OEM'd by SPC.

Might also want to consider coilovers if you're wanting shocks & springs. You'll get just the height you want and also adjust the firmness as well. In for a penny in for a pound

coilovers are great if you can afford them but springs are fine too. Had 4 different cars on springs and never had issues with the struts failing. Now I drive normally and don't track the car etc so maybe that helps. Also have decent roads where I've lived. Had an Acura TL on H&R sports, Acaru RSX on H&R's, Mazdaspeed 3 on H&R's and now a G coupe on eibachs. Truthfully I think you would have to really beat on the car for a couple of years to have the struts fail. Normal driving you will be fine indefinitely. One catch, I never kept any of the cars I had lowered past three years from lowering them so not sure what happens 4, 5, 6 years from now, etc.

If you go Eibachs you might get the alignment in spec or real close without the camber arms, and maybe even the toe kit. That would shave $500 off your budget H&Rs are a pretty deep drop and you will need the camber/toe kits for sure w/ those. If you have steep incline driveways, a lot of bad pot-holed roads, major speedbumps to navigate on a daily basis might want to go the Eibach route, it'll take some stress out of your day to day driving. Been there, done that
